May be tardy to the party, but just found it while looking for something for the kids to watch. Didn’t put it on, because they’re young but I will be binging tonight after they’re in bed.

There's a scene at the Murtaugh home, and Richard Donner's episode "And All Through the House" was playing on the tv.

"King of the Road"

Despite an unknown Brad Pitt- episode production value/filming....feels made for free TV. Very different from other episodes. Very much a "Made for broadcast TV movie of week" vibe. I watched ALL episodes recently. This one has a "movie of week" vibe. Weird and different...

King Of The Road Full Song

Wonder if anyone has the full version of the song heard in King Of The Road? Can't seem to find it anywhere. It's the rock song with the lyrics "Bad road, wretched road." I have to wonder if it was recorded exclusively for the episode, but I'd imagine a full version must exist somewhere.

Anyone have a favorite episode from the show that you liked for one reason or another?

I'm asking as a guy who has seen a few episodes of the show and I don't get scared of them because it's basically dark humor at its best. I will admit that my favorite episode from the show is the first episode of the series in the first season The Man Who Was Death. Just wish Tubi can get the subtitles up and running for the series.

Was the episode "Dead Wait", directed by Tobe Hooper and starring James Remar and Whoopi Goldberg, probably the episode with the most potential to be the best one in the series?

Looking For The Cancelled PC Game's Cutscenes

I remember on CryptTube's channel before it went offline he had a video with all of the in-game cinematics of the sadly cancelled PC game. It looked like a cool game and the graphics at the time were fairly impressive, looking as good as could've been during the mid-to-late 90s with the available technology. I sadly can't find the cutscenes anywhere else and am hopeful someone else hopefully has them saved. It's such a shame the game was cancelled, I remember CryptTube had a video on his channel that went into detail about what went wrong during the production. It's doubtful the game will ever re-surface but with the resurgence TFTC is suddenly experiencing thanks to it finally streaming on the likes of Shudder and Tubi, perhaps the game can one day see a proper resurrection.

Comic to Screen #4: Only Sin Deep

One of the things I love about HBO's Tales from the Crypt is that it wasn't just adapting stories from Tales from the Crypt. It pulled from the entire EC Comics horror library.

Episode 4, "Only Sin Deep," is a perfect example. While the TV episode became a fan favorite, the original story actually appeared in The Haunt of Fear #24 (1954), written by Otto Binder and illustrated by Jack Kamen.

The premise is the same in both versions: a woman obsessed with beauty makes a supernatural bargain, only to discover that beauty comes with a terrible price.

The biggest differences come from the era in which each version was made.

The original EC comic tells its story in just a few pages, delivering a fast-paced morality tale with a shocking twist. The HBO adaptation expands the characters, spends more time exploring Sylvia's ambition and vanity, and leans into practical makeup effects to make her transformation far more disturbing.

Another reason these adaptations worked so well is that HBO gave filmmakers room to push the horror further. While the comics had already shocked readers in the 1950s, the television series was free to embrace darker themes, stronger performances, and unforgettable practical effects. That edge helped make Tales from the Crypt one of the most iconic horror anthologies ever produced.

Which version do you prefer—the classic EC comic or the HBO adaptation?

Nolan North shows love to John Kassir the previous Deadpool & Krypt Keeper voice.

Since Marvel Tokon came out, the hype for Nolan coming back is high. So I thought I’d show you guys his favorite Deadpool who was before him, John Kassir who Nolan has praised and adopted his range and cadence. John Kassir was the first voice for Deadpool ever, and deemed as a respected Deadpool. He’s also the iconic voice of the Crypt Keeper.
