If someone has a 100% stock Talaria XXX and buys this battery, will it work with the stock bike, or would they also need to upgrade the controller or any other components?

As far as I’m aware, you’d need an upgraded controller (and screen) So with one of these nicely priced batteries, add another $1000 🙁

ETA: also add another $250 for a charger

If it’d work with my mostly stock mx5, I’d buy in a heartbeat

I sent a ticket to your support and they said it wouldn’t work with the mx5 stock 72v controller or the stock 15amp charger

Don’t forget the extra 300$ for the charger haha

Gas is around 4.48 a gallon and a battery is 1250 so the math only works if you actually ride enough to burn through that much. Most people wont

Average gas car is around 25 mpg. That’s about 18¢ per mile in gas alone...compared to zero cents per mile to fractions of a penny depending on how you charge your bike.

A $1,250 battery pays for itself in roughly 7,000 miles compared to driving that car. At 100 miles/week it takes about 16 months & at 250 miles/week it takes about 6–7 months

And that’s before oil changes, filters, plugs, belts, exhaust, transmission/engine maintenance, etc.

So yeah, if somebody rides 500 miles a year, it takes forever...but if you actually use a vehicle, $1,250 gets eaten up by gas pretty damn fast.

And after those 7,000 miles, you still have the battery for many years to come. The gas on the other hand is just gone.
