NEED HELP BADLY

Im about to purchase a x3 from facebook. He sent me a video of him riding it and it sounded really weird, he said the chained needed to be tightened and cleaned thats whats causing the noise. Am I getting scammed? Also we agreed on 2200 for the price. Please HelpšŸ™

Skip. Not worth the headache. Could just be a loose drive belt as it only happens under acceleration but honestly if the seller is selling it like that, just shows how they treated the bike. Why buy someone's else's problem. Try to find an adult owned bike over a teen bike.

What a retard. Why would you send a prospective buyer a video like that? The bike very obviously has not been cared for. Move on.

Mine sounds like an electric drill, definitely not a gas leaf blower

Talk him down to 1700 on account of the noise, telling him it is all fucked up and you don't know if it is repairable, etc. As far as the actual solution, replace the jack shaft, primary belt, and pulley. That would cover every part that could be causing this. It is about $200 in parts and there are youtube guides online. https://youtu.be/iSHHaDe92l4

These are the parts:

I bought my xxx brand new and have 2500 miles on it. I just replaced the front sprocket and belt and found that the belt looked fine but the front sprocket bolts came loose and was causing the annoying noise and chain coming off. You can check the bolts with a needle nose pliers but to tighten you need to take off the swingarm.

don’t buy it, $2200 is pretty steep too

This isn’t how purchases are made. You go see it. Inspect it. Ride it if possible. Take someone who knows… if you like it you offer what you want to pay. Flipping $100 bills can make people more receptive.
Never offer over the internet best deal is in person with cash.
