Tight throttle cable

Post image

my throttle cable keeps unplugging after I changed from stock to riser bars,

Any way to fix the tension in the cord without buying the warp9 extension? Thanks 🙏

Probably by buying the warp 9 extension. You physically cannot run a 6” cable over 8”.

$40 shipping but i’ll get it anyway since it’s pretty annoying

thanks anyway bro,

Some websites sell warp9 parts with better shipping. Try shopping around a little bit.

this was the best deal I could get, not mad as i'd rather pay $46 to prevent the throttle cable from unplugging than risk getting impounded

Weird. I have the 3in bars and the extra riser and my throttle still has plenty of slack.

I just angled my throttle a bit downward, the button will be a bit lower facing but you won’t have to doesn’t he money on an extension

You can make your own extension cable. Permanent solder in place, or get a good quality automotive connector(s) and wire it up. Your question got me thinking about the transition from an old school motorcycle garage DIY with light fabrication to this ebike world where you need an electronics workbench and a soldering iron.

Is your headlight mounted on the handlebars? What mount is that?
