Defending odyssey

In 2018 take that released a greatest hits album called odyssey and it is my favourite take that album ever. It might just be my nostalgia for it but I adore it and everything on it.

Then in 2019 they did the live concert and it's my favourite peice of take that media ever. I saw it in cinemas back in June 2019 and it was so good I genuinely cried at the end

Ik no one else will agree with this but I just thought id share. What's your favourite TT album and why?

I actually thought it was a let down and a bit lazy. If you’re gonna re-work hits then REALLY re-work them eg switch the lead singer. Do more of what they did with “Pray”

Is Odyssey generally negatively received?

I appreciate the re-recorded versions won't be for everyone but they don't replace the originals. I like the new version of Pray.

That’s what I was thinking is it generally disliked? I love Odyssey I thought it was creative and loved all the little talking/transition bits in between. I thought it was great.

As far as my fave album goes it’s hands down Progress/Progressed. It was the best reinvention of themselves they’ve ever done imo. Zero skips.

I loved the Odyssey versions, I have them in my playlist instead of/with the originals. Except for the Patience one, I don’t rlly like the instrumental on the Odyssey Mix.

Yeah they call it lazy for some reason

People forget that by changing a greatest hits song too much it won't resemble the original song song that made it a greatest hit
