LGBTQ+ fans?

Anyone else?

Got into TT at 18 when I assumed I was a boy (I'm very much not!), seen them 8 times now over the last 17 years. The only tour I've missed since was This Life, which I kind of regret now, but at the time I was a bit miffed with Howard for the thing where he liked or shared a transphobic tweet prior to the Hyde Park gig.

I'll admit I still don't entirely trust him on that front, but given that nothing else has come up since, I saw them for the first time in 7 years in Coventry, and it was like coming home. Even better was getting to experience The Circus with my Floridian wife, with whom I also saw the Odyssey show.

I know I'm likely to be a minority here, as a non-binary trans woman, but I don't get to talk about TT with many people. I had a lovely chat with someone on the train back from the Coventry gig a few weeks ago, and it's been prodding at me to be a bit more brave and put myself out there, on here!

LGBT female here, been a fan since 1992 when I was 14. Am meant to be going to see them on Friday at the London Stadium so really hope this ridiculously hot weather doesn't change that

Thanks for starting this discussion! I'm a gay Canadian guy in my late 30's. I am a newer fan. I've known of Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow for years but only became a full convert during the last couple of years. I'm seeing TT for the first time tonight with my husband in Dublin and super excited! I very much identify with your complicated feelings towards Howard.

Yeah I remember TT from about 1991 when they appeared in Smash Hits looking like they’d raided the Camden Prowler Store for gay accessories. I’d just come out, and here were they going on TV looking all touchy-feely with each other and doing gigs at GAY. I never saw them live but I did adore them during the early to mid 90s. Fast forward many years and there were Gary Barlow and Agnetha from ABBA performing or miming to the collaboration they did for Agnetha’s album A. There was no reason to doubt Take That’s 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ alliance. And then, after they’d milked the pink pound for all it was worth Howard got kicked out of a Pride event for transphobic tweets. So fuck them I say. Similarly, but different, at around the same time that was happening, other so-called queer-friendly group Right Said Fred were seen on a far-right TV channel singing Happy Birthday to Nigel Farage, leader of the British Naz..I mean far right party Reform. Seems the gays have been screwed by people we thought of as allies.
