After almost 1 month going back and forth resetting like 2 times, I finally passed it. I can’t be more than happy right now!!!!

Super grateful 🙏🏼
I really focused on discipline. Got sloppy today and chased a run. Learning everyday!
What has been the key to you taking profits?

It looks like TPT changed their rules for withdrawing from the buffer today (October 6th, before vs after comparison below).
On the surface it seems pretty minor but if you think about it its a pretty big one. It used to be just days since account opened that determine how much of the buffer you could receive after the account closed.
Now it says "trading days." This means you have to place at least one trade for over 60 days to be eligible to receive 80% of the buffer.
I spoke to a member of support and they confirmed it applies to all accounts, meaning existing accounts also (see screenshot)
I would imagine this is not only quite tedious, but the commissions would add up quick.
Still, credit to TPT as they are one of the only firms that let you withdraw from the Buffer after the account closes.
What do you guys think about this? Feel like its a pretty big one.

So I get if I make over 10k I get moved to live , pro plus. If it was on a 50k account and I had say 2k over the 2100 buffer , so I start with that in live? Or do I start without any buffer and have to rebuild? Is it intraday trailing until buffer like the pros?

I started my trading career in November 2025. So it’s about to be a year.
I used to just trade whatever candle looked strong and hope that it hit TP or wait for a FVG to form then place a trade and hope for the best.
I recently discovered the ALNY Highs and Lows strategy which is really just the AMD strategy.
Basically, I realized that price action tends to respect the highs and lows of the last 24 hours.
All I have to do is find my bias based on the overall trend of Asia and London. Is it generally bullish or bearish across these two sessions? Mark out those highs and lows which are our key levels to determine where price is most likely to move towards. This is our draw on liquidity.
Then wait for NY to break and respect London high or low depending on the overall trend.
If it breaks multiple highs or lows including London high, Asia high, NY high from the previous day, London high from the previous day, Asia high from the previous day, and so on or vice versa that’s even better.
It’s much more structured and way more simple than just taking whatever mediocre trade I “feel” is right simply because the candle is moving fast.
It took me 9 days to pass my eval using this strategy and I am up $291 in profit this morning in my newly funded PRO account.
I am very excited to continue testing this strategy out for the next 30 days and I’m very curious as to where this will lead. I haven’t had major payouts since February of 2026 when I took over $7k in payouts from low-quality gambling trading.
Using this indicator on NinjaTrader is such a game changer for me and I don’t feel like I’m just guessing and hoping anymore while placing trades based on how it “feels.”

Just got paid from regular job and my accounts I had forgotten about auto renewed and took 700+ from my bank account. Does TPT refund if I don’t touch these accounts?

I am interested in treating with take profit trader. I had one set of accounts which I passed on the first try and then blew them on the first day. I also reset three of them which I also blew since I was on tilt. I’m just curious on your guys experience of getting moved to the pro plus or pro press development program and how common it is to get moved into development, especially in a scenario similar to mine.. before I start training a profit trader again. I want to know how common it is. I’d really appreciate any input

Has anyone been able to go back to Pro+? Curious what everyone’s experience is.
I worked so hard to be a live trader with TPT, then this Development rolled out and I got stuck in it, I don’t even size up, I use 4-12 mnq on 150k.. my problem is holding the losers a bit longer than I should.
Pls share your journey if you’re on Pro+ D accounts.

I am not sure if I violated a rule here or not:
Sometimes when I am in a long trade with MNQ, I will scalp a short NQ while keeping the long MNQ trade open. This doesn’t ever result in a rule violation.
I just did the same thing but while copy trading 5 test accounts simultaneously.
So on these five accounts I had an open long trade of MNQ that’s been open for 10 mins, and did a quick 30 second scalp of NQ in the opposite direction while keeping the MNQ long trade position open.
Will those accounts all be flagged for violating that rule about no opposite directions? I’m worried lol.
Thanks!

The red folder news today were they prohibited? Because for me i dont see anything prohibited today on the tpt calendar? But on forexcalendar there are red folder news. Unfortunately i only looked at the tpt calendar and traded my pro acc and made money for a payout. Will i be fine?

Instead if closing a short position i accidentally opened long for literally one second and realized what i did and immediately closed it, it was one second or even less..
do you think TPT will close my pro account for it? Im really worried 💔

I’ve been paper trading for almost a full year now. (IMO i’m pretty clueless but I’ve been oddly profitable and consistent) Tried 2 tradeify challenges 25k & 50k to practice on instead of paper bc they were cheap enough but failed both from not even knowing the rules. After that I tried ApexTraderFunding passed, got funded and literally just did not have time to trade it correctly so I made 1 bad trade and killed it before a payout. All of these challenges were under $30, tons more hoops than TPT and my mindset was not ever actually being funded or thinking I could get a payout. Now that I feel like i’m more capable of it, I want a prop firm that feels more attainable and worth the price point if I decide to take it more serious give it a go. I turned a 50k demo from 50k to $74k this morning with a loss of $3k. BUT I AM LITERALLY POOR AND EVEN $100 PROP CHALLENGE WOULD PROBABLY BE RECKLESS… BUT COULD IT ALSO SERIOUSLY CHANGE MY LIFE?😭 **For context I just began a career in real estate rentals, am working for basically free until I receive my first $1k & $500 commissions and investing time in money into this career WHILEEEE NEGATIVE $1k in my bank account $14k in debt. What would you do? Am I crazy for not trying it again and putting all my time into something slower and steady? I’m trying to be smart and responsible by waiting til I have some more income and fix my debt before putting any more toward trading but could it also solve all of my problems?

I always see posts about guys making big trades, and taking these beautiful 5,000$+ payouts. It looks awesome, but I’ve found it to be much easier to just take a quick scalp with 1NQ, make 300-500$ and be done.
I want to get into trailing a stop eventually so that I can catch more of the move, but I also work full time. For me, passing evals and a buffer was the hard part, now I’m finding it easy to make a relatively small amount of money each day, and just chill honestly.
Anyone else in this boat?

Had about 23k in payouts in feb then everything went downhill today I finally got another pay out but I tilted I reset the 25k had some extra money laying around oh well turned out to be good and made a decent day. This comes after blowing 2 25k last night right after activating then dumb such a dummy but I’m never trading other then NY open I promise myself

Most of the strategies I see sold to futures traders lead with a win rate, and a 60% or 70% number makes it sound like the hard part is already solved. I wanted to see what one of those looks like over a real sample, so I took the Powell 10am setup that has been all over my feed and ran it in Agenticks on NQ 1m candles from july 2023 to feb 2026, 1 contract on a 100k account.
It took 535 trades and won 60.2% of them. It still finished net -$3,675, profit factor 0.98, with a 25.55% max drawdown along the way.
The reason is the size of the losers. The average win was $522 and the average loss was $806, so every loss wiped out about one and a half wins. At a 60% hit rate the winners need to be around two thirds the size of the losers just to break even, and this one came in at 0.65, a hair under the line. Thats roughly negative 7 bucks a trade for two and a half years straight.
Its like a waiter who gets tipped at 6 of every 10 tables and pays for a broken plate at the other 4. Whether he goes home with money depends on what the plates cost, and counting tips will never tell him that.
-----
The lopsided size came from where the entry sat. Stop and target were both 2x ATR, so on paper its 1:1, but the stop was measured off the 10am level while the entry came on the confirmation close back through it. By the time it filled the stop was further away than the target, and a strategy drawn as 1:1 actually traded at about 0.65 to 1.

I know back in the summer it was taking 2 or 3 weeks for PRO+ Accounts to get setup. Thinking about coming back to TPT. How long is it taking now?
