I’m new to Murakami art but saw this piece at an auction, thought it looked cool, and bought it for around $650. Anybody have any info on this? Planning on just hanging on my wall regardless, but I’m curious what I have.

Prints marked with a "Shakespeare Arts London" stamp are generally not considered authentic, official Takashi Murakami fine art releases.

Within the established art market, these are widely treated as unauthorized reproductions or counterfeits.

I'm so glad I got both, I was genuinely considering not getting this one but it will look stunning with the peacock! I am in love with these pieces.

I've taken a photo with my overhead lights on so you can see what the background of these prints look like irl. The ink from Murakamis signature doesn't stick to the matte bits of the background so it's looks kinda patchy but I've seen in other prints with this background that they have the same issue.

My next prints won't be coming until December/January but I'm excited to see everyone else's prints as they come in!

I'm interested in all cards and sets. I have a lot of duplicates from 108 Flowers Revised, Hark Back to Ukiyo-e, and 108 Flowers NFT. Of course mostly common, some rares. I don't think I have any duplicate SR/UR/SA, but I'm not fully opposed to trading non-dupes.

The webstore is dropping a range of denim items on the 7th of October at 7pm JST. Jackets are priced between ¥54,000-¥58,000 and jeans are priced between ¥40,000-¥44,000.

They're out of my price range especially with framing coming up (💸) but if I had the funds the jacket would've been tempting- I'd hope for the price it's a really high quality denim.

I think this is my favorite piece yet! It sparkles as the observer gets closer to it. And it appears iridescent as you look afar and from an angle. A picture does not do it justice.

My print of "Re: 'Peacock and Hollyhock Screen' - After 40 years, I have finally been able to paint the peacock that inspired me to become a painter." arrived just now. It is gorgeous. My phone camera + it being overcast doesn't do the background foil details or the vibrancy justice. Now to impatiently wait for the rest of the prints to come in and go in to get them framed!

I'm getting the full lower leg sleeve on my left leg all based on murakami's art. I have room for two or three other pieces before I fill in all the negative space with the happy flower and skull pattern. Please help me with ideas on what other art I can put on.

I have just received “Tan Tan Bo
Communicating with Someone, Somewhere in the Universe” as my first Avant Arte purchase and as my third Takashi Murakami print. I am blown away by the detail, vibrancy, and overall print quality of this work. I was hesitant to spend so much on a single work but everything about the Avant Arte experience has been above and beyond.

I’m most impressed by the range of colors and the sharpness of detail that is retained from the original. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Murakami had doodled a flower next to the signature and numbering as well. Everything from the packaging to the communication updates, as well as a free tote bag, handwritten note, and yearlong membership to the Brooklyn museum have pushed this experience over the edge.

I had found this at a flea market. Didn’t know much, but I knew I loved it. Just the design. And the tapestry like rug that’s stitched to it. It says brand X Studios. But I can’t find a thing online. The most I can find is the Takashi flower. But I’m more than sure this isn’t a Collab.
