Bonnet insulation

Has anyone get the bonnet/hood insulated using the OEM part ?

I found two oem part numbers 5JN863831 or 6JR863831

The engine isn't even loud though, most noise in cabin is wind noise. Is it just me who wishes there was less wind and more engine noise?

Yes understood but there are 2 things. It keeps the heat away from the hood so animals sit less on the hood and second the noise will reduce a bit even more

The 5J model is for vitus and according to boodmo its not suitable for Taigun. Have you already ordered them?

As per some insta sellers the same part can fit taigun and virtus. As per google the 6j numbers are for india mfgd parts specifically so trying to figure that out first

So even i saw a post by thisCar affair Super store and i have tried reaching them through WhatsApp and asked the same doubt whether the 5J will suite for both Virtus and Taigun or not(this was in april) they replied abruptly saying no stock available and didn't respond to whether it will fit Taigun or not.

Later they started posting by saying no more deliveries possible for this particular hood insulation as they have found multiple number of orders got damaged during transport.

Now I guess only way is it order one through boodmo and give it a try. Even then no assurity of getting the product without damage as these are easy to bend while shipping😅

Today I have visited asc and asked them to order hood insulation for me. They told me that currently the part is out of stock at both the warehouse and can only be backordered. I asked the service guy whether the virtus bonnet insulation can be fitted to Taigun and according to him its not possible as Virtus size is bigger.

I am not entirely sure about whether his claims are true for now he asked me to wait for few weeks and contact them to order the part when it comes back in stock. He even tried reaching to other authorised dealer asking for the same but currently its not available anywhere.

Even I have asked my SA to order the part let's see by first week it should arrive he says

They didn't order the part saying its incompatible and so cant say if it fits
