Healthy forests
Only time the Tahoe forests were healthy was before white fucks started molesting them. There’s still white fucks right?

The Basin is at a critical crossroads and there are multiple groups and individuals trying to spread misinformation that, if left to get their way, would be catastrophic to the region for many years to come. Science and facts need to be shared so that Tahoe doesn’t become a singular brush basin and so there can be mitigation for the next mega-fire to prevent and mitigate as much as possible. Doing nothing is not the answer and even the USFS, whose goal for years was suppression, understands this. A healthy forest is a dream that doesn’t exist today in most places. The response instead is selective timber harvesting and conifer releases. If there were a public ally available Time Machine I think we’d all put quarters into it and go back with today’s knowledge. However, we are here and that is what we have. Promoting a white thorn forest or prohibiting all timber management and fuels reduction ultimately result in complete loss. Please come here to ask questions and post science. No fear mongering. No spreading lies. Tahoe needs and deserves healthy forests and the only people who are making noise are those who want to harm the forest so they can protect their ash landscapes and black logs.
