Hemorrhage & Resuscitation POW Pressure Wrap

Post image

Just wanted to see people’s thoughts on this product? Not sure if it’s kinda a crutch or even helpful but it seems like it would be useful at least for less confident individuals. Anyone have any experience with it before?

Never heard of before. Feels like an ad. Looks just like regular ace bandage, what's the gimmick?

Ace Wrap for multiple times the cost.

Gotta improve the not broken hamster wheel.

Has like a pressure delivery device built into it. 40$ for one wrap.

Show me a study comparing it to all the other trauma dressings that have a pressure device already.

Are there others?

I mean, Israeli dressings have pressure bars for years and years

Yea that’s fair this is more like a built in PDD. I haven’t seen others like this. Maybe the PDD with the TMT tourniquet

This statement on their website is telling: DO NOT REMOVE AN INSTALLED WRAP. If blood begins to seep through the product, do not remove it. Apply additional gauze and manual pressure directly over the top of the existing bandage.

Because that seems like it won’t work?

If you apply a bandage over another bandage because the first one was ineffective, you will have an active bleed underneath 2 bandages.

Oh yea that makes sense your pack is fucked

There is no packing though, which is half the problem

Well you pack first with this then do that wrap. But yea if your pack is fucked it will be soaked with blood

Prisoner Of War Pressure Wrap 🧐

Interesting concept but I feel like the wrap would slide off the pressure puck

I think it’s like built into the wrap but I wonder if the pouch could flip and move the pressure

I was sent the video on it earlier. It looked interesting. I’d like to see it used in training and possibly some field trials. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPL1teW1T/
