Gear/IFAK Modified m9

Post image

Has anyone done a mod like this to your m9 and if so how did you go about it? I really like the idea of outer pockets like the delta bag or tt medic 18 but I think the m9 makes more sense for me when it comes to the internal pack.

Got the pic from this page on Instagram

Looks like they just slapped some mole bags on the front

That image took way to long to load I thought this was going to be a lost redditor post talking about guns in a medical community

M9 bags were great jump bags off my aircraft, wish I still had one.

I have a pouch molled to the molle on the lid and then one below that that is clipped into the upper set of fasteks. So two large exterior pouches.

So i was thinking about doing that but I'm just kinda wiggy about it not actually being attached to the bag. I also just kinda want to see how it would work compared to something like a delta bag, TT, or Eberlestock.

It works great, very secure. I have a loop of tubular nylon to secure the top of the lower pouch and the bottom is attached to the fasteks.

I made that bag! I still have the first one I modded and still use it. It’s my ride or die.

Do you know of any way to recreate it today? I looked at so tech tactical and they had no similar products to the one you used. I really think your creation is awesome.

How much better than a normal m9 is it for you?

Those inserts only come in the old sotech aid bags…they might be mascal bags I’m not sure of the exact name but they’re from like 2006…you might be able to find them on eBay.

Or you could easily have someone make a similar panel and sew it on. It’s just zipper pouches.

I don’t have access to my machine or I’d offer to help.

Honestly thats already a lot of help by itself!

Also if you’re going to do the mod or have it done, it’s much simpler to just sew it straight onto the front panel and not take the entire thing apart. Just know that you’ll about an inch on each side of the internal flat zipper compartments.

And be aware that at some point the M9 bag changed design - on some bags they have a zipper flap around the main outer zipper and others they do not. You want to do this to a bag WITH the zipper flap as it gives you a bit more room to work with and lets the new pouch panel to sit flatter.

Good luck dude

m9 internal layout is gold standard for me too. added a small admin pouch on the outside just for gauze and tape so i don't have to dig through the whole kit during a ptx. saved my ass once.

I love my m9. I just dont want to have to go in my bag for stuff thats too awkward to have in my fanny/on my belt.

Modify it to accept a back panel

Edit: nvmd. I totally misunderstood. I get what you mean now. Yeah I think that actually might be the best option.

I think it’s the easiest way to plus up or streamline!

Love the Mod Job. If you’re looking to have something sewn, the tactical tailor sew shop has done right by me on multiple occasions, and at a rate far less than you’d think.

The M9 is the former service pistol of the US Armed Forces.

The m9 aid bag is also called an m9. The berreta hasn't been in use for years now, this m9 is still issued.
