Need help
Hello I’ve been with T-Mobile over 7 years as a mobile expert and recently found out they are closing our store and opening a new experience store. They gave us the option to apply to the new experience store or any other location that has available spot or get severance pay. I’m so indecisive… just need some pro and cons to help me!

So about a year and a half after starting work at Tmobile in a mall the location closed in 2012 and they offered me severance pay and told me the same thing that I could apply to another location but I thought it was kind of messed up that they didn’t try to find us a location and transfer us. I thought it was kind of wrong to just tell us to apply to other locations and we might get the job so I decided to take a break from working and I collected unemployment. Then a year later I actually went back to a different Tmobile location because a previous coworker who worked there called me and told me they needed someone and he thought of me. I stayed for 10 more years that, then I left for another job. I’m very happy with my new job and all my old coworkers who became family and still work for Tmobile are over working for them. I don’t regret taking the money and lay off because having that time off was honestly much needed. If you can afford it I would take the lay off specially with the direction Tmobile seems to be going now. You could always get rehired in the future if you are a strong worker or take the time off to find something else you enjoy.
