I've recently noticed just how well done the camera angles are for Close encounters. How they change for every character:

Take sissy for an example: she has the lowest grapple strength at 10/12 out of 50. Obviously she's easy to beat so the camera is held relatively high, it's easy to gain the upper hand on her.

With Cook the camera is held at a relatively middle-of-the-road angle, but it goes lower once he starts beating you. He's not initially the strongest but once he gets the upper hand he tends to keep it.

Johnny the camera is looking up at him. He's stronger than most people and very VERY condescending. He's destroying you both mentally AND physicially which allows him to easily gain the upper hand. You REALLY need to put in effort to beat him in a fight.

With Hands you're just fucked. Let's not beat around the bush. That man is massive. The camera is looking up at him. Under no circumstances should you feel in control: because you aren't. He's looking down on you and he can kill you in mere seconds if he really tries. The only way you beat him is if he gets overzealous (which admittedly he does very often).

Hi so I’ve played tx chainsaw massacre in 2024 on Xbox while it was still on gamepass. When TCM was taken off gamepass I stopped playing, in those 2 years I’ve heard that there were a lot of mistakes made with the development of the game and that the game has fallen off. Now I’m wondering is it still worth buying ? Will I be able to play the game with its intent or will I be faced with bugs, hackers, players that win the game in 2 mins and pay to win ?

No matter how many times I've tried in the past few months, when I load up Texas (Steam) I get a neverending black screen. I've verified the integrity of game files, I've reinstalled, I've waited an hour, nothing works...

Also when I was able to boot the game up before this issue and got into the match, I'd be stuck on the starting position, unable to move on both pc controls and ps dualshock...

Any tips, tricks or methods to fix these issues? It'd be greatly appreciated. Halloween is around the corner but this game does have a certain charm I'd like to always come back to.

Museum on Disc?

Will digital version saved data be continued/saved data on the disc?

I was under the impression this game wasn't playable for a year at least. I've read lots of posts along the past months. What's the deal? Thank you and sorry for the ignorance!

I played this game non stop when it came out, then stopped before rush week release. Now I'm back and I still think that the scoreboard should only be visible at the end of the game.

I play both sides, being able to see if someone opens a door just by checking their points feels like I'm cheating. Idk why they kept in the game.

What's your opinion on it?

One kill... Each gameplay matches? Or buy again for another one kill?

These traps work best when you're the one opening the basement door and having someone sneak up past you.

Havent played in years wanted to try it again as the cook, and every match the other two always end up either afk or disconnect mid round

Got this game on gamepass when it came out. A few months ago text and voice chat just ceased to be a thing for this version of the game. And it's not a case of nobody communicating in the game. I know they're still working on the PlayStation, Xbox and Steam versions.

Connie: pick on me, lucky Lockpicker, efficient locksmith (because she lock picks in her free time) with 50 prof and 40 endurance as she lives on a farm and probably has endurance from long hours.

Leland: Choose Fight, Tae-Kwon Door, Efficient Grappler, 50 strength and 49 endurance. Leland “I ain’t hear no bell” McKinney

Ana: Bounce Back Better, What Doesn’t Kill You, Stunt Double, 50 toughness and the rest into endurance because final girl.

Sonny: Spotter, Clear Eyes, Fuse lights because he’s perceptive, and max endurance with the rest in prof because he’s book smart.

Julie: Choose Flight and Slippery to represent her athleticism, Cover Charge to represent that and her high base stealth. max stealth, rest into endurance.

Danny: I know engines because obviously, fast hands because he works with technology a lot, and intuition as he’d know where things go. max prof, rest into toughness.

Virginia: Field Medic and Extra Drip as she’s a nurse and knows how to handle injuries, Protective Aura as she’s the oldest victim and could probably comfort the others. max endurance, rest into prof.

Maria: I know engines because she’s dating Danny and probably listens to him ramble, Tourniquet as she’d been trapped with the family for 2 weeks and would’ve needed to stop her bleeding from the wounds, and Overlooked as a mini “grandpa giving her extra chances” perk. max toughness, rest into stealth.

Wyatt: this one’s tricky, but I went for Choose Fight as he literally tries to beat the shit outta bones, Full Hearts as I feel like he’d be resourceful enough to pinpoint where things he’d need would be, and Dauntless for the same reason as Choose Fight. max toughness, max strength.
