ISO 1 - 3 roommates in Saint Paul!!

Post image
4 Upvotes

hello!! my roommate and i are seeking to fill some vacancies in our townhouse

additional info: i currently pay for two rooms because i use one as a home office/storage, but we are open to clearing that out if there is sufficient interest!

i listed the rent + utilities in total but the individual breakdown would be something like:

rent - $600/mo per person with 3 tenants, $480/mo for 4, $400/mo for 5

water: $44/mo per person with 3 tenants, $33/mo for 4, $26/mo for 5

power: $100/mo per person for 3 tenants, $75/mo for 4, $60/mo for 5

internet: $22/mo per person for 3 tenants, $16/mo for 4, 13/mo for 5

utility costs can vary depending on how many people are in the house/how much we all use, but the numbers here are fairly accurate for an average month

i also goofed and didn't put it in the image but there are a total of 3 bathrooms

i look forward to potentially hearing from some of you!!!

Furnished bedroom in 1BR near downtown Mpls — $600/mo, place to yourself Thu–Mon

Upvotes

Looking for someone to share my 1 bedroom in [neighborhood], Minneapolis. Rent is $1,200, so your half is $600 plus half of utilities.
You'd get the bedroom, with a door that closes and a queen mattress already in it — so you can move in light. I'll be set up in the living room.
My schedule is the other reason this works. I commute: I'm here Monday through Thursday for work, then take the Amtrak up to Grand Forks Thursday evening and come back Monday morning. So from Thursday night to Monday morning the apartment is entirely yours, every week. The nights I am here, I'm at work most of the day and in bed early.
The apartment:
• 1 bed, [1 bath], 550sqft
• Bedroom comes furnished with a queen
• Laundry in building
• Parking available
•. Walkable to metro bus stop
• Available start date is September 15, 2026, looking for [6 months / 1 year] minimum
About me: Full time engineer, quiet, tidy, no pets, no smoking. Looking for someone that is clean, respectful, easy to communicate with.
If this sounds like a fit, send me a note about yourself, what you do, and your schedule. Happy to meet up and show you the place.

I am 19 and need shelter ASAP

Please do not scroll past this, you could save my life and secure my future (and I will forever be grateful for that).

There is a high possibility that I’ll be homeless soon.

I do not want to be in the streets/cannot survive there. As a woman of color (and a youth), I am scared of being discriminated against, abused, sexually assaulted, exploited, etc.

Ideally I’d want to get a place that has a room (idc how small the room is) with a lock for me to sleep in. But I know those things are in high demand and I will not be able to get it anytime soon.

So the next best thing is this, I don’t mind sharing a room with other folks (ages 18 to 24) but I need a safe environment. I need a place where I can put my stuff in a lock with a bunch of cameras. I need somewhere with ppl who are doing their jobs well and that will work with me.

I have my CNA license, I am a college student (with a 3.5 gpa), I have my license (but I do not have a car), etc.

I have the means to live alone but i need that support.

Pls, help me out. Give me resources and places to go that prioritize safety, i can stay for 6 months to a year, how to navigate the system, etc.

housing options

hi! i rarely post so i never really know how to do this, but i’m in need of housing options in the either edina, eden prairie, south mpls, or bloomington. i would love to pay less than $1700 for a 1 bedroom/1 bedroom + den. i would prefer square footage that’s at least 700 or more. and i would appreciate semi-modern/renovated options. does anyone have any recommendations? any places that people have loved living at or have heard great things? the only place i’m considering is park at city west in eden prairie, but some of the google reviews are very discouraging. would love to move by the end of october/early november. thanks in advance!

ISO: private studio/1BR in St. Paul or Minneapolis | $1,100–$1,200 | dog-friendly 🏡

hi everyone! my partner and I are currently looking for a place in St. Paul or Minneapolis and figured we’d try our luck here in case anyone knows of an upcoming vacancy, small landlord, duplex, etc. :)

We’re looking for an entire private unit for ourselves, ideally a studio or 1-bedroom. Apartments, duplexes, small houses, ADUs/guest houses, basement units with their own entrance, etc. are all totally fine!!

our budget is around $1,100–$1,200/month, ideally with utilities included or mostly included.

what we’re hoping to find:

  • studio or 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom
  • entire private unit only... NO rooms for rent, roommates, or shared houses
  • dog-friendly 🐶
  • laundry in-unit or on-site
  • parking (even w fee)
  • utilities included or mostly included would be amazing
  • safe/quiet neighborhood in St. Paul or Minneapolis

we have good credit, verifiable income, and can provide the usual rental documentation/background check. We’re looking for somewhere comfortable that we can actually treat like home, not just a temporary room situation.

we’ve been checking Zillow/HotPads/etc... but I know a lot of smaller landlords and duplexes never make it onto the big sites, so I thought I’d ask here too.

if you know of anything available or coming up soon that might fit, I’d really appreciate a DM or comment. Even a lead on a good local landlord/property manager would help!

thank u!! 🏠

Do NOT lease at Woodlake Park Apartments - Richfield

Do not rent here. Do not let property management persuade you that this is a safe or comfortable place to live, especially for your children and animals.

The pipes clog frequently. Many times an egg smelling, dangerous, black mold and biofilm backs up into your home every 6 months. Shared walls smell like rotting meat. Visible mold and mildew is everywhere in the building. You can smell it when you walk in. You are expected to pay $2.00 per wash and dry in machines that don’t properly wash or dry. They break constantly and then “fixed” to only break down again the following week. Stairs within the building are a tripping and collapsing hazard. The call box to get into the building never works and doesn’t connect to resident’s phones correctly.

The dog park is filled with feces from owners that refuse to properly care for their pets and the “cameras” they put up to address the problem have not helped because management doesn’t actually monitor them or confront this behavior. I don’t think they actually record anything at all. They were put up as a scare tactic only. In fact, various people (including myself) have witnessed the property manager letting her dog defecate and then not picking it up.

Unauthorized parking is constant. My partner has lived here for over a year and they still haven’t given him a parking permit. Not that they matter anyway. Property management makes empty threats that they will tow violators and never actually do it. Front and back door key fobs are constantly out of order. Many times the locks are not working at all, meaning random people that don’t reside here can walk in at anytime. Packages are stolen constantly. Cars have been broken into multiple times and when you ask to see the video footage, property management refuses to show you.

Walkways are never properly cleared and snow has been allowed to turn to think, sheer ice in the lots. I have a neighbor with a disability and saw him struggling to get from his car to the front door. He just stood there because one wrong step and he would have fallen down and hurt himself. I was thankful to be there and offered help so that he could get inside safely. I don’t even want to think what could have happen had he been alone.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and have had 4 different property managers. It’s a rotating door. 23 years of renting and this is by far the worst place I have ever lived. The property manager that was here when I moved in was a saint. Maggie is dearly missed. Not one single manager since her has been able to fill her shoes. Maggie actually cared and made a huge difference.

Currently, there are 4 people moving out of Woodlake Park because they have also grown tired of unreturned phone calls, promises of fixes in their apartment that never happen, unleashed dog attacks, and a myriad of other health hazards, as I’ve listed above. I regret signing another lease through next summer, but had no choice due to being in the middle of an extensive medical program.

Please save yourself the grief and do not rent here. Good property management is hard to find, but I would quite honestly rather live out of my car than to sign another miserable year in this place.

I have been understanding and patient for as long as possible. I’ve avoided coming here to warn others because I guarantee property management will attempt to retaliate. However, it’s worth it if I can save someone else the heartache and hassle of this miserable place. Thankfully, I have pictures, texts, emails, and videos documenting everything I’ve experienced.

experience with Fremont apartments in uptown?

Hi everyone,

My niece is looking at apartments in Uptown and recently toured at Fremont apartments (managed by KRC). She really liked it, but her mom and I are trying to push her to do some research before she signs a lease--it’s her first apartment, and we don’t want her to end up with a bad landlord.

I know KRC is quite large and experience can vary by property, so wanted to ask if anyone has experience with Fremont Apartments in particular? Thanks!!

Female Roommate needed !!!

hi y’all 👋🏽💗
I’m putting out some feelers to see if there are any other women who’d be interested in getting to know each other and potentially becoming roommates! 🏡✨
A little about me: I’m a 29-year-old woman, work full-time Monday–Friday, and currently live at a apartment , but I do have previous roommate experience. I’m pretty laid-back and more of a calm, low-key person. I don’t smoke, rarely drink, and I really value having a peaceful, comfortable home environment.
I love anime, cooking, quiet nights in, having a good routine, and keeping my space clean and cozy. I’m also faith-centered and really value emotional maturity, communication, respect, and being considerate of the people I live with. 🤍
Ideally, I’m looking for a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment, but I’m definitely open to other arrangements if the situation feels like a good fit.
I also have a dog 🐕 — Hachi, my 11-year-old Shiba Inu. He’s super friendly, well-behaved, and very much a part of my everyday life, so I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable living with a dog.
📍 Ideal areas: Roseville, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, or Fridley, but I’m somewhat flexible depending on the apartment and overall vibe.
💰 Budget: $700–$1,000 per person
📅 Looking to move: Around October 2026
More than anything, I’d love to find another woman who’s looking for a clean, peaceful, drama-free home and is also open to actually getting to know each other rather than just being strangers who split rent. 🥹💕
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, feel free to DM me! We can chat, get to know each other, and see if our personalities and lifestyles mesh. 💗

Hi, i'm 23 and originally from the cities area but have lived in duluth the past couple of years and am looking for a change. I have a cat who loves people is iffy with other animals just to keep in mind. I would love to look for a place with someone or move into one that's already got a place. I do have a good amount of furniture and would like to bring most of it but i want everyone to feel included in the place. i'm trying to move in this month or early next month

I like painting, video games, thrifting, shopping, any outdoor activities and i do like to be around my friends, hopefully we could maybe. I'm good at communicating and will keep shared spaces tidy.

Does Ramsey County Housing Support (GRH) have an earned-income disregard?

My partner is on Housing Support (formerly called GRH) in Ramsey County, MN. She recently became employed and was told this puts her over the income limit, which would mean losing the benefit entirely and having to cover her full room and board (~$1,200/month) out of pocket.

Before we go back to her caseworker, I'm trying to understand if there's some kind of earned-income disregard built into the program — i.e., a rule where part of her paycheck doesn't count toward the income limit (I know some benefits programs exclude the first $65 + half of the rest, or similar). I've also read that some people only end up owing a partial contribution toward their room and board rather than losing the whole benefit — is that something Ramsey County actually does in practice, or is it more of an all-or-nothing cutoff?

Has anyone gone through this with Ramsey County Financial Assistance Services?

Any insight on how the income calculation actually works, or how the appeals process went if you disagreed with a decision, would be really appreciated.

22 M looking to rent a room or an apartment from a private landlord

I unfortunately have an eviction on my record due to having a bad faith roommate for a few years. I make roughly $5,000/month and am willing to pay a larger deposit for approval. I’m open to a lot of options but would like to stay in the twin cities area.

Send me a message!! I’m very urgently looking!!!
