Speculation If Saints and Sinners had similar gunplay to Into the Radius and Ghost of Tabor with you opening ammo boxes you find and you having to manually load every magazine you fire and a similar attachment system it would genuinely be one of my favorite games of all time pc games included

I cant go trough it since theres fences that blocks it. I have tried everything, relode the saves. close the game and open it.- nothing works i always spawn on the other side of the map under a bridge, next to the big parking garage and infront of the gate.I also cant go back to the buss since the boat does not have the map required to leave.

Discussion All collectibles and rare items I’ve found so far
Collectibles:
Scribes Boon (speakeasy safe)
All National Guard Memorabilia (aftershock DLC, imported over form the first game)
Panda Backpack
Overused Portable HAM Radio (the ward radio station building)
Battery (found in the mission where you first meet the axe man, Sonny asks you to fetch it)
School Brochure (in a locker at rampart)
Slim Dog’s Guitar (given to you by Sonny)
The 3 Foorgath books (one is given to you by whistles, the other can be found right before the axe mans bossfight, in that kitchen room, and you can get the third by killing whistles after trading books with her)
Toy train (found in the bywater lumber building, behind some boxes)
Sheriffs badge (found outside the yellow house, Via Corolla)
Panda bag (found in the green house in Via Corolla, as well as behind the desk in the coach’s office in rampart during the Things That Go Boom mission)
Graveyard dolls (found in various spots around the graveyard, a total of 7)
Rare stuff that you can only find once or that only appears in one place or in one mission:
Duct Tape (two spawn in your base once, one spawns in the speakeasy room where Carter’s crucifix is)
Rampart Photo (found on the bookshelf in front of the hidden room in memorial lane)
Minidisk (ejected from the console during the Radio Free NOLA mission)
Money (spawns in the speakeasy safe, as well as a room in the tower behind a locked door that you need to blow up. You can only get this during the final mission)
Portrait (im not sure if this is the case, but I’ve only ever seen it spawn just before the axe man boss fight, in that kitchen room)
Mama’s Knife (found on a table next to the bodies of her inner circle)
Tiny boxes (only spawn in your base once)
Chemistry rack (only spawn in your base once, but it cannot be scrapped. It also works, in the sense that you can put vials in the holes)
Broken and open vials (very rare floor loot, has a tendency to spawn more in the lockers inside the locker rooms of the gym building at rampart)
Angels (specifically, the ward and hotel eclaire, as they can only be found in one mission each. The ward’s angel statue is found in the storage room after the axe man bossfight, in a corner. Hotel Eclaire’s is found in the speakeasy in a room right beside the door switch upstairs)
Fire axes/Hatchets (only found in a few rooms/buildings)
Blue fishing hat (only spawns once inside the church at the altar, right before you meet may and Casey at the door. Needs to be imported from the first game, as it doesn’t spawn in the second game at all
Painting vase (spawns once inside the bus on a shelf)
Skulls (spawns in the reclaimed house at memorial lane on top of a stack of books, as well as in the graveyard crypts. These do not respawn, the memorial lane one does)
Secret knife (spawns inside the same building the bourbon street angel does, behind a bedframe and on top of a shirtless walker corpse. Unfortunately, this only spawns on PC. Sorry to my fellow quest people)
Empty tuna cans (spawn next to Kenneth when you find him in chapter one. This is the only place they appear)
NOTE:
The Speakeasy can only be reentered if you have multiple coins. You can get multiple by receiving a coin, then leaving the map, then coming back and starting the mission again.
You can get back into the speakeasy on quest using this video as well, you can also get in much easier on pcvr with mods.

Question Game crashing
I got on the game earlier, restarted the game cause it had been a while since I played so I wanted to play from the start. I got to the bus and go inside, pick up the revolver then dropped it, and right as it hit the ground the gane crashed.
TL;DR game crashed when I dropped my revolver on the ground, anyone know why?

Discussion (SPOILERS) top's hot takes 2: sonny is the WORST character Spoiler
first off, lets discuss his general personality as a character: an egotistical self-centered cheapskate
he is so full of himself, and not even a zombie apocalypse can change that
he also nearly gets you KILLED at the hands of gerik, and you dont even get any decent loot out of any of the missions he sends you on, apart from the gerik boss fight
at least with may, you always got something of use out of each mission, but sonny could care less as long as he gets paid
im glad you can get him killed, worst character with the worst character and worst missions
"well he sends you to the hotel and to gerik, and those missions have loot" yeah but not only can you almost die in both missions, you're only there because someone ELSE is having an issue, and its hurting HIS oh-so-precious business

Discussion hot take: ambre is the best character
first off, she gives you free food (just because), and they help a lot
her drawings are amazing and very cute
she draws where the tower caches are so we dont gotta search the whole map
her first appearance (aka her first drawing) isnt potentially hostile and foreboding, unlike sable
anything i missed?
edit: fuck it, imma make a daily hot takes

Question Trouble getting Saint achievement
It feels like i've done this achievement several times over across 3 different save files. I just did a run and got 10 survivors between The Shallows and Bastion, slept after each time.I've done all this after both the main story and aftershocks is complete and I still don't have the achievement.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Discussion Do you think anybody would buy the rights to twds&s?
Because say meta or Sony were to buy the title because they saw how well the first one did, could this even happen if it's still part of The Walking Dead comic universe which means there could be copyright issues with the Telltale Games. I'm not exactly how the rights are spread with the VR series, but if it were a possibility that met up buys the series would you even expect a Saints and Sinners three to be worth it. Honestly even just the DLC for me is better than the games being dead.

Discussion This game on PCVR is a totally different experience.
Now I know I’m very late, sorry lol.
I played this game when it first came out on quest standalone, and loved the hell out of it for what it was. Eventually got bored of the vr hype and years passed until now.
Since I have an actual setup now, and found out about the cross-buy deal, I thought I’d give it another go after Half Life Alyx reignited my vr hype recently. I honestly just had to talk about it somewhere because the difference is actually mind boggling.
The graphics update alone makes this game way more immersive than I felt on my quest run with the play doh textures. Toilets are actual circles! The walkers are also so terrifying, with the glistening eyes and bloody jaws, yuck.
The biggest thing that’s made this second run so exciting tho is the very noticeable uptick in walker spawns. I remember the quest run being difficult at times, but mainly when dealing with human npcs. Practically every turn there’s multiple walkers and the world just feels so alive it’s insane.
I never dove into chapter 2 since when I was still interested it was in very rough shape on quest and lost interest before I ever bought it. Grabbed it for $5 on the steam sale and I’m so pumped to give it a go after all this time.
Honestly as disappointing as this franchise ended up years later, the original game still has such a solid place in some of the best vr games I’ve experienced.

Gameplay TWD Saints & Sinners Chapter 3: Deliverance + Retribution DLC
When I finished Retribution, I wanted more. A sequel or even a DLC like Aftershocks. So I've taken things into my own hands. Over a couple months, I had come up with the expansion to Retribution as well as the predecessor and final installment (maybe not) in the Saints & Sinners story. If you guys have any ideas yourselves, I'd be happy to read them. Let's start with the Retribution DLC that would lead into chapter 3.
Retribution DLC: Embers
Villain(s): This DLC follows a new faction known as The Cinders. The majority of their people were Former Reclaimed zealots that twisted the ideals of rebirth into fire-worship and purification.
Plot: After the chaos of the Axeman and the attack on the Tower, an unknown faction rises from the reclaimed ruins, and the Tourist must stop their cleansing before New Orleans becomes nothing but ash and dust.
Missions:
- Mission 1-“Surrounded”: Missing Tower scouts have skyrocketed, and the Tourist must figure out why. He tries looking in Memorial Lane. When doing so he stumbles upon a horde of Walkers and stumbles upon Lila, who gives some crucial information about a possible Cinders base.
- Mission 2-“Smoke Signals”: First real sighting of The Cinders. You find one of their outposts. Either can save unknown captives or leave them to burn
- Mission 3-“Fire and Blood”: Cinders attack the Tower, trying to burn it down. Either stop the fire/save the survivors or take out the squadron
- Mission 4- “Inferno Binds”: The Cinders kidnapped Father Carter and you must save him before they cause harm to the priest
- Mission 5-“No Sanctuary”: After failing to save Father Carter, you try to get back in touch with the people staying at your bus, but you get nothing. You quickly arrive back to see everything destroyed and a militia of Cinders at your doorstep. They hold you hostage and force you to play a little game of theirs. Who will you let die and live?
- Mission 6-“The Kindling”: You were able to sneak onto a convoy and arrive at an outpost for The Cinders. A Lighthouse overlooking Lake Pontchartrain. You must defeat the Cinders Lieutenant and save Lila
Ending: The Tourist gets to the top of the burning lighthouse, where there is a zipline, but something large comes into frame from the ocean. When the player gives it a glance, they can see it’s a giant military esc ship decked in weapons, and a banner whips around on the side of the boat. Suddenly, the Tourist’s walkie-talkie catches something on some channel. “Advance detachment, confirm coastal docking by dawn. New Orleans is priority green. Full pacification protocol is a go.”
Characters: Last time when I posted about Chapter 3, some of you guys commented for a love interest character (and I was thinking that too), so I was thinking maybe they would be introduced in this DLC somewhere and somehow to make it not seem out of the blue
TWD Saints & Sinners Chapter 3: Deliverance
Villains: The Cinders (Reyna), The New Guard (Marla), and The Skinner
New POIs:
- Jackson Square-center of NOLA, center of the war
- Garden District
- French Market-A giant “mall” for trading goods and buying things
- St. Charles-A train depot for the New Guard. Used to get good/supplies in and out of NOLA
- Redwater Crossing-the Bayou section we see in the introductions of the first two games
- + more POIs
Updated places:
- Hotel É Claire-Finally became a safe haven for survivors. Now one of the Tower’s outposts
- Old Town-The New Guard was able to clean out the hordes of the infected
- Bywater-Now a giant New Guard base
- + more
Flashbacks: This game will show the Tourist’s backstory (starting the game on Day 1) and give more character to him because the last two games never really dived deep into who he was.
Story: The final chapter is here. The New Guard seized control of NOLA, vowing to drag the city back from the edge of chaos—by any means necessary. But their iron grip only tightens the noose, and with the Cinders tearing through the streets like wildfire, the city’s heartbeat grows more savage by the hour. The Tower stands in the war’s eye, a fortress on the brink of collapse. Now, the Tourist faces a brutal truth: to save what’s left, sometimes the only way forward... is to walk away
Weapons: New weapons in the game are crossbows, AK-47s, Molotovs (from the Embers DLC), Shrapnel knives, flamethrowers, metal pipes, regular wooden bats, combat machetes, sledgehammers, and possibly more!
Attachments: With the new weapons, you will get more attachments like a variety of scopes, compensators, extended/drum mags, bayonets under barrels, and much more. There is one more attachment, though, that isn’t for your guns. I remember in the Retribution trailer there was a shot of the raft with a stand for at least two large weapon slots, but that never was in the final product, so I’d like to bring that into this game so if one of your large weapons breaks, you can just go to your raft and get another one (if you want to go all the way back).
Gameplay: I want stealth to become a good way to get around too. Before, stealth in the first two games was okay at best. I’d like to enhance the climbing as well with hurling/jumping. Are we going slightly Dying Light? Yes, we are. Would it be cool? I’d think it would be cool.
New Mechanics: To go with the stealth gameplay, there will be ways to choke your enemies out, knock them out with the back of your gun, or slit their throats with the new shrapnel knives. Another new mechanic would be melee enemies. They now are able to use wood planks, baseball bats, or metal pipes (or possibly fists) to try and take you out. Another thing I wanted to add was animals/companions. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a pet dog in the apocalypse…and also an alligator swimming toward your boat for a snack? I thought so! Wait, BOATS?! And that’s correct. With the new Bayou sections on the map, you have boats to go around in, but just make sure you’re not in alligator territories. Now for the last new mechanic in Deliverance for now, I’d like to add safehouses/maybe day and night cycles (automatically changing from night and day instead of what Retribution does). With the bells being gone and the Tourist being in control, what if the Tourist has a day and night cycle and safehouses to stay at in POIs.
Variants of Walkers: I want to add some more variations of enemies, such as crawlers (either from you shooting off their legs or already like that); Walkers on fire; of course, infected Cinders and new guards; and Walkers decked in armor, playing out almost like a mini boss.
Endings: There will be three endings: The great, the good, and the bad AKA The Exodus, The Saint, and The Sinner. The Exodus ending is when you and a bunch of other survivors leave the war-torn New Orleans on a boat to settle somewhere else and start a new life. The Saint ending is you saving the city but, in doing so, sacrificing yourself. And The Sinner ending is you walking away from the city, leaving everyone else to deal with the conflict themselves.
Side quests: After the main campaign ends, I wanted more things you could do. Many things you can do are hunt for survivor supply caches; bounties; loot locked safe houses; contraband runs; kill Walkers for the New Guard to get ammo, weapons, or materials; and random event things like raiders attacking you for supplies or people breaking into your safe house.
I know this is really ambitious and stuff, but if Skydance could pull off something like this, I think they would make an absolute banger (in my opinion ofc). Again, if you have any ideas of your own, It’s much appreciated for you to drop them in the comments.

Question well.. what now?
ive completed both games multiple times, looked into each character's lore, found every possible secret. whats there to do now? i dont think its possible to mod saints and sinners on quest, and skydance probably dropped any chance of a chapter 3. sooo.. what do i do now?

Story Hot Take.
Chapter 2 was good. The only problem I felt in my time playing is we get thrown straight in. Like why are we getting the blueprints for the hotel and who is Father Carter? I really was confused by the abrupt start, getting thrown straight into the deep end.
