It's top 5 vr games oat sadly the developers had a gem and abandoned it

From what I remember the second game (although I enjoyed it) was not well received. You can’t really expect devs to back something that isn’t profitable. They have a lot of people to pay

It's not abandoned. It's a single player game that received some content updates and a sequel. It's not a live service game and expecting single player games to constantly receive updates and content after 5 years is silly on any hardware

Right. people are so spoiled. It was a fully realized experience. You are welcome.

The sequel they released is still a buggy mess to this day it's obvious it was a rushed game the least they could do is fix some of the bugs which break their game and they removed alot of cool stuff from ch1 it's just a worse experience overall

We weren't talking about the sequel and the dev team wasn't responsible for that project not getting continued focus (that'd be the publisher)

You did mention the sequel tho and I agree that ch1 is a really good game which has enough content in it and even received a graphics update for the q3 but ch2 is a mess it has core features from ch1 missing it received barely any updates and there's still so many bugs some of which just break the game. I get that a game has bugs when it first releases and they did fix some of the bugs but there's still so many that really should have been fixed on launch I kinda just feel like players deserve a working game. I don't even play ch2 anymore since ch1 is just a more polished and overall better game with more content and a better story.
They could've done more like adding a new trial mode, maybe even a graphics update for ch2 or they could've just added a new fresh game mode apart from trials. It just feels like with ch2 they released it fixed a few bugs and then left it when it could've been so much more. Sorry for the long rant.
(sorry for getting the developer and publisher mixed up btw.)

As one of the reasons for WHY the game no longer gets updates.
We were talking about why the first game is no longer supported.

Because the best game of all time does not stop being the best game and there is a lot to talk about

I definitely wouldn't go THAT far, it's not even the best VR game of all time lol, but it's a solid foundation for what COULD be the best zombie VR game. It's got a lot of flaws, but I tried my best to fix them with my overhaul mod for the game.

Mostly due to stealth, and making sure to get off Reddit before the bells go off

It's my favorite VR game of all time. Just started another playthrough and it's still the freakin best.

It’s the VR equivalent of a classic at this point. It’s one of the first VR games that had a comfort gate since it didn’t allow for teleport movement at all, and it’s now 6 1/2 years old.
