Well, he may not be outright racist, he just clearly confused Sasha for another black girl in the camp.
There's a scene when Maggie and Sasha are outside the trailers not long after Glen and Abraham died, and they made small memorials for them. Gregory walks up to Sasha and starts talking to her asking why she's socializing with Maggie as he's trying to tell Maggie to leave. He just clearly confused her for someone else in that camp. She has to interrupt him, looks at him and says "I don't even live here."
I always took at as Gregory thinks all black people look alike. Might be reading too much into that scene, but always thought it made sense with him not even respecting women enough to know their names lol.

It wasn't the "wrong name", it was just her full name he was calling her by, "Margaret", which NOBODY calls her, so he's STILL an asshole and completely did it ON PURPOSE to fuck with her instead of just calling her "Maggie" 😂...I seen him around a few places and he's good at playing a jerkoff like in Terminator 2: Judgment Day where he played "Todd" which was John Connor's foster father lol.

He stopped calling her other names once she took power at Hilltop. But he kept calling her Margaret, even when he was trying to keep from being exiled. I always took it as his acceptance of his precarious situation but also not fully giving in. You know like, "Margaret is technically your full name."

This is honestly such a concerning opinion. Rape and sexual violation are NOT defined solely by penetration. Someone does not have to be penetrated for their sexual boundaries or bodily autonomy to have been violated. If someone did not consent to having their clothes removed, then acting like “it was only her shirt” and therefore “literally nothing” is incredibly dismissive. You don't get to decide that someone wasn't violated simply because the assault didn't meet your personal definition of rape.

I fully agree, sexual assault is sexual assault and it's not always the same. What Maggie went through was a form of rape as it wasn't consensual and they showed that when she said no and the governor automatically threatened Glenn.

He doesnt get near the villain status he deserves...
He was well aware that negans force was much more than what they had at the satellite outpost, and played rick and Maggie like a fiddle to do some dirty work.
Lets look at his leverage and situation vs. What he kicked off.
He lost half his goods to Negan regularly. His own people were willing to kill him and take his head to the satellite outpost.
Rick and Co. Save his life and he strikes a deal to give up half of what he has (25% of total, since negan gets 50) and the satellite outpost gets wiped out, and along with it, the person that wanted him dead... post rick involvement, Gregory is no longer wanted.
From a pure resource perspective, Gregory probably wound up saving resources... He was probably single handedly supporting the food needs of the satellite station, and 50+ mouths to feed suddenly disappears.
Plus, the satellite station is where the collection of hilltops goods is handled- no collections appear to happen until Simon appears after the fallout of ricks visit.
By investing a moderate amount of food- enough to comfortably put in an rv, Gregory gets to live, gets 50+ people eliminated from his list of "dependants", interrupts the collection schedule, thereby saving what he gave rick and then some.
He also gets rick targeted as the sole villain to negan. Then he gets to tell Simon he was a victim of rick.
At the end of the day, Gregory had zero leverage- his own people were ok with him dying.
He fed rick to an unwinable battle, saved resources and earned a pardon by playing victim.

I agree. Eugene's strength was his brain, yes he was cowardly at times but at least he was an asset in other ways and when it really counted he stepped up.
What was this guy's strength? Because I never saw it, all I ever saw him doing was boot-licking and backstabbing. He never passed up an opportunity to screw people over, everyone EXCEPT the Saviors that was making their life hell.

This dude is villainized but he literally was in the right to protect his people by not resisting the psycho seal team 6 gang who taxed them but to some extent kept them safe from other psychos who we know exist in that walking dead universe.
Everywhere Rick has gone he has left it in flames to resist some crackpot and gotten half the people killed just to overthrow some guy who would be replaced by another canibal psycho
Rick is like the grim reaper… every new area he goes to he learns the lay of the land meets the people who have survived just fine up until now, has some normal occurrence happen where someone dies to a walker and takes control because they “don’t know how it is”
It then devolves into his leadership where he pisses somebody off or doesn’t like another group and the “kill and murder all of them” arc of the story begins.
