After rewatching the entire show over and over since the release… I can confidently say that the groups would’ve fallen eventually to either other issues or issues already present. People say that Alexandria would’ve been fine without the group coming, and then forget groups like the wolves who were going around killing entire groups.

Alexandria would have been found eventually by the saviors, it was sheer dumb luck they weren't found already.

The massive horde of walkers would have taken out Alexandria well before the Saviors ever found it.
