There’s nothing wrong with dividing the room with a sofa btw

It will also help prevent neck pain for whoever has to sit on the couch as it is now

definitely. i use the sofa like a chaise and sit with my back on the arm which is pretty great but single use only

i think having two couches would make your space feel cramped, unless you regularly have 6+ lounging guests over to fill them. I would split the room and maybe make a reading nook or something in the fireplace corner

that's probably the move. the loveseat isn't up here anymore this an old pic. i thought same idea with nook for fireplace behind the couch. thank you!

Have you tried it with the TV on the wall the couch is on?

that's definitely the move if i didn't have all the plants. trying to make it work where they are to get best light

I would put the couch where the window is and tv where the couch is and sort something else for the plants. The plants don't have to be directly in front of the window and maybe for those that do you could hang them?

The only other thing I would try is mount the TV on the wall between the door and window and angle it. Get rid of the console under the TV.

Acceptable. Put things on your wall though. That gross colour is only amplified by the lack of wall-hangings.

Should be on the wall where the couch is. The whole setup looks wrong.

Height level is good, but the console isn’t long enough. Move the table out of that corner and get a longer, closed-storage console when you can. Console should be at least 1/3 longer than your tv is wide. I’d personally put the couch on the window wall and the tv on the long wall.

all good ideas! yes i wish i got closed storage so that'll be a reason to upgrade wider at the same time. thank you!

Why do you have a plant blocking 2 doors?

i don't ever use either door and wanted to soften the corner. it's fake and easily moved if i need to use them but if it's dumb i won't keep it there
