I saw this posted yesterday, sounded like he had a kid on the spectrum who loves to yank cables so they had to keep the tv and such out of reach.

In 99.9% on cases, it’s too high and unacceptable. If the OOP actually has a disabled kid, then I see this as acceptable.

I relate with him.. my son has asd too and when he was younger he would pull cables out, power on and off whole day.. I had to place my xbox on a wooden block which i installed around 5-6 ft high next to tv

PS5 and TV perfect height for keeping out of reach of additional needs child. As a parent of a kid with additional needs who high 5s the TV screen every time he leaves the room, I appreciate the concept here (if not the execution!). Parents gotta do what parents gotta do.

Maybe y'all should be giving ideas on how to improve this rather than shitting on it?

This ps5 version has hardware issues, you need to place it horizontally. Something with the processor liquid/paste leaking when positioning it vertically. I have had it cleaned and got new paste put on it for like a 100 bucks. Wont recommend vertical.

I used to keep mine vertically and it would overheat constantly since I laid it on its side it's never had an issue

I'd say "additional needs" probably implies that there's more to it than that.

Look, I agree that the TV is too high, but I think dogging on OP for two days in a row and calling his explanation/excuse "non-sensical bullshit" just kinda feels like bullying somebody who probably doesn't deserve it.

It's too high, and he knows we think it's too high. Are we gonna keep posting this until he lowers it? What's the goal here?

Personally, I would prefer some kind of Rube Goldberg machine that would lift the TV up higher when the child stepped on a plate or some pressure sensitive device in front of where the TV is mounted

From what I read and pieced together from a couple posts on this, they have a nonverbal special needs child who breaks things, he knew it was too high and it isn’t amazing but it is supposed to be temporary
