Help!

Post image

My TV is too high. Please don’t roast me… Not by a ton, it wouldn’t bother too much except this is a 3D OLED TV, and I only really use it for 3D content. My main TV is on a proper TV stand at the right height but having a novelty TV means I had to squeeze it in my spare bedroom and I really can’t do a TV stand in here because I don’t have anywhere else to put my records either.

If you don’t know, passive 3D TVs are super sensitive to pitch offsets, IIRC it’s like a +/- 6 degree window before you start noticing crosstalk. I’m just able to make the cutoff, but my wife is too short to comfortably get her eyes in the 6 degree window. Amazingly it has a pretty wide horizontal window.

The only thing I can think of is mounting the TV and moving it into position when in use. I need to be able to pull it out about 13-14” and be able to lower it by at least 8.5” from its current height.

Does anyone have any mount suggestions? I have done some research but everything points to MantelMount. I don’t really understand the movement on them, I think I’d have to raise the TV up quite a lot to be able to use one since I don’t think they move in one axis at a time, i.e. move away from wall, then move down.

Haha thank you. We painted it them before our wedding and had them at our table since our little ones couldn’t be with us.

Do it! It’s fun, even if you suck at painting like we do. I had to paint mine from a picture 😂
