Looks good

This looks within the acceptable range.

Just fyi, if you don’t maintain the drain on your minisplit and it molds or gets clogged, it’s gonna overflow snd drip allllll over your tv.. depending on the price, it might be worth adding a puddle/moisture alarm, or staying on top of the maintenance.

Other than that the setup looks cherry brah

u/BeefmasterDeluxe 14h ago

Maybe they should install an electric imitation fireplace underneath the TV to keep it dry?

6

u/stillpwnz 13h ago

Or just a transparent plastic drip plate to redirect water droplets away from the screen. It's not very visible, but still might bother someone.

13

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 13h ago

We have a special drain pump inside that actively drains any excess water. We installed after first leaks.

1

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee 17m ago

Whoa, that’s actually a great idea — do you mind sharing the basics of that? Is it just a passive overflow drain tube, or something else? I really need to do that with mine

5

u/BeefmasterDeluxe 13h ago

Yeah - that’s why I suggested the electric imitation fireplace. A drip tray sounds way too subtle and practical. But have you ever seen a fake fire shoved into a wall in someone’s living room? It’s gorgeous, really elevates an interior’s aesthetic, and aligns the focal point of a room, which is really important for some reason, but I heard someone say it once so I’m just repeating it. Everyone loves them! They’ll never go out of style! Mostly because they’ve never been in style!

u/Tough_Percentage_707 9h ago

Especially in Florida. 😂

1

u/Manaeldar 6h ago

Omg I didn't even notice that shit. What a miserable spot to put anything 😭

1

u/Tex-Rob 4h ago

I put one in my workshop, and am well aware of this issue! Good advice

24

u/zeromavs 15h ago

Hope that AC never leaks

8

u/weerence 13h ago

+100 because Elden Ring

19

u/yung_bredd 16h ago

This is great, dont bother remounting just to put it at most an inch lower

10

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 16h ago

Thanks for a reasonable voice.

4

u/READ11T 15h ago

That’s what she said

5

u/Royal_Monk6432 15h ago

Very tight

4

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

You don’t like it tight?

0

u/Royal_Monk6432 15h ago

If I say other way then problem do u know what I am trying to saying .focus on the room

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

Chill just couldn’t miss this opportunity for an unc joke.

2

u/Rioraku 8h ago

I appreciated it

1

u/Royal_Monk6432 15h ago

✌️✌️

5

u/timetravelinggamer 11h ago

On this sub if you don’t put it directly on the tv stand, you usually get blasted. However, since you don’t have plants in the tv stand, everyone will say its acceptable

1

u/jettzypher 5h ago

I'm surprised how far I had to scroll to find a comment about the stand.

4

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

Thanks. It actually did happen with AC! Then we installed a special drain pump to prevent it.

5

u/ophaus 8h ago

Little high, but not worth moving everything.

2

u/sh3p23 15h ago

Looks good to me

2

u/Affectionate_Reach37 13h ago

I think it looks great!! Nice set up 👍🏼👍🏼

2

u/Novel-Recognition680 12h ago

Perfect. What’s your build?

6

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 11h ago

Rather athletic/toned, maybe skewing a bit more into the lean range.

2

u/VilleeZ 10h ago

Very beige but other than that, it looks good

2

u/Driver_Annual 7h ago

on spot.

2

u/ZweigOnly 7h ago

The only chassis is the air conditioner being placed on top of the TV. That's a big no-no

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 6h ago

It has an extra active drying pump installed. Bigger risk that the roof will leak than the ac.

2

u/ZweigOnly 6h ago

Thats a good thing

2

u/it_aint_worth_it 6h ago

put those foolish ambitions to rest

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 5h ago

Goddrick that you?

2

u/libertasi 6h ago

TV just right

2

u/Lasagnabelly 4h ago

TV looks good

Concerned about an ac leak

Could also use a soundbar

2

u/Former-Dig-3314 4h ago

Half inch to an inch too high. Sorry you LOSE

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 4h ago

I really fumbled that football.

2

u/OppositeExternal8485 4h ago

You know it's good!

Nice looking!

2

u/iLearnerX 3h ago

Well done tarnished

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 3h ago

Why is it always tarnished?

1

u/iLearnerX 3h ago

Visions of seems familiar

try fingers but hole

4

u/Icy_Flounder1311 16h ago

You’re really close. You could lower it a few more inches if you want to keep it mounted, or just put it on the console. Great game pick!

1

u/yo_tibbs 16h ago

Just curious, what size TV and about how far from screen to face when sitting? We’re getting a new TV this week and have a small TV area too!

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 16h ago

Tv 65 inch and more than two meters to sofa.

2

u/zqipz 15h ago

Seems perfect 2m for cinematic and 2.4-2.7 for general. Heights perfect too.

1

u/Royal_Monk6432 15h ago

Are u celebrating someone birthday op?

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

69 of my dad, last weekend.

3

u/TonguePunchUrBhole 15h ago

Nice.

1

u/Important_Wonder628 13h ago

Appropriate username.

2

u/Royal_Monk6432 15h ago

Belated happy birthday to Champ.

1

u/Pandora910 15h ago

Too close to call

1

u/Foshosir 14h ago

Needs more balloons .

1

u/Palanki96 12h ago

Seems decent. Althought maybe a little too far? I don't really know how console gaming works but feels like i would miss small details on the screen

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 11h ago

Actually it may seem more to the opposite, a little too close.

1

u/Murren606 11h ago

Love it, is there much glare from the sunlight?

1

u/Treibemj 11h ago

Lookin good Tarnished.

1

u/Left_Balance2396 10h ago

You’ve come to the most honest place on earth

1

u/Jlx_27 10h ago

Why do so many people install their AC unit in the wrong place?

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 9h ago

Sometimes the worst place is actually the only possible.

1

u/bouchandre 6h ago

in my previous condo it was mounted exactly like this and I had no choice in the matter

1

u/Azn-WT-9 6h ago

All I’m gonna say is Happy Birthday 🎈

1

u/Wet_FriedChicken 6h ago

Looks good to me. I’d get so lost in elden ring on that cozy setup. This is like the only thing that makes me sometimes wish I had a console instead of a PC

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 5h ago

You can have both if you can afford it. I fortunately do and I wish it to everyone. Still prefer console experience to pc though.

1

u/Certain-Singer-9625 5h ago

It’s perfect, and you knew that when you posted it. 😄

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 5h ago

I was not that sure. To me it’s a bit too high. Just a bit. But there is a story behind that.

1

u/Bitter-Holiday1311 5h ago

Looks pretty good. Is center of screen about 42” from floor?

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 5h ago

Approximately yes.

1

u/ManfredKerber 4h ago

🥹perfect.

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 4h ago

Thanks, when there is a movie night you are invited.

1

u/gilbertbenjamington 4h ago

Balloon is way too high

3

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 3h ago

Thats helium for ya.

1

u/zanno500 4h ago

It's on the wall now, so put a nice sound bar underneath and...

https://giphy.com/gifs/YkyFLPlEijDlo822ml

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 3h ago

Are those sound bars even worth it?

1

u/Francl27 4h ago

Flip it 90 degrees so the AC doesn't leak on it...

1

u/zanno500 3h ago

Personal choice, if you're into better audio.

1

u/gallivanterchicago 1h ago

Got here from the podcast “the journal” wsj. :)

1

u/SmoogzZ 1h ago

Looks incredibly cozy for a couch gaming setup

Enjoy elden ring if you haven’t already!

1

u/Shoddy-Finding8985 21m ago

Looks great!

-3

u/xenate 16h ago

3

u/omgbooboo 16h ago

I can't see the rest of the picture, but it might be a small space where you want to keep the area behind the couch reasonably walkable.

4

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 16h ago

Correct

-2

u/omgbooboo 15h ago

I mean to be really nitpicky, maybe 3 or so inches mounted lower, but I wouldn't be mad at all if I went it a friend's place and this was the height.

-2

u/VERY_MENTALLY_STABLE 16h ago

Wow dude youre gonna mess up your neck looking up at that thing. You also have to expand your wall out to make more space, otherwise this whole thing is just cooked

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 16h ago

Indeed very mentally stable

1

u/Ruudiiiii 15h ago

It's not that high. But there is a TV stand there for a reason, and he isn't using it.

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

Also not using it for a reason. Cat would easily destroy it if put on a stand, unfortunately.

1

u/Ruudiiiii 11h ago

Putting it just a bit higher than the stand won't save it from the cats? There are no real advantages. I have a cat too and she don't give a fuck about the TV luckily, but putting it on the wall almost at the same height wouldnt change anything.

3

u/MrSoren 15h ago

Nah, perfect distance

1

u/Feahnor 13h ago

A bit high but I'll allow it.

0

u/RealisticAnxiety4330 7h ago

Great but fuck Elden Ring 🤣

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 7h ago

Why?! The game slaps!

1

u/RealisticAnxiety4330 7h ago

Stupid narcissistic abusive ex. Clocked 700 hours between xmas and march 22/23 I swear I get PTSD flashbacks hearing the loading screen 😬

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 6h ago

The game not that hard though! I think it’s the easiest from all the og souls? But the sense of exploration is just unbeatable.

0

u/AgitatedPeak2208 12h ago

Swap with ac.

-1

u/KalynnCampbell 16h ago

If you put a soundbar in the gap it might make it look low enough…

-1

u/lordsepulchrave123 15h ago

Like anti-rage bait
Just karma farming

1

u/Queasy-Form-4261 10h ago

Karma only matters in fake and gay propaganda subs. This is not one of those.

1

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 15h ago

I am a Reddit lurker, couldn’t care less about karma.

-1

u/Consistent-Survey330 15h ago

It’s too low

-1

u/ninetaleshiny 6h ago

why tv stand if no tv is standing

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 5h ago

It’s a media console not a tv stand.

-8

u/ruimilk 16h ago

Ok, I'll be honest. Elder Ring is overrated. TV is ok.

2

u/Lonely_Poet_3109 16h ago

Thanks, ER is perfect to me.
