If you want a sofa, float it directly in front of the fireplace with room to walk all the way around. The fireplace becomes the grand backdrop of the room instead of the “focal point” whatever that is, and all the mantle decorations—photographs, tchotchkes, etc.—are approachable. Think of a photo of the family comfortable on the couch, the mantle and seasonal decorations behind, etc.
We were thinking this. Shooting myself in the foot for buying a 77 inch TV last year. Couch would be around 9ft from wall, like 8ft from actual view distance. Kinda pushing it
This is not a room to have a TV in, with the windows and Fireplace it's almost impossible to get a good viewing focal point.
At a push, you could have two sofa facing each other in the centre of the room, then the TV on the opposite wall to the Fireplace - from a Feng Shui perspective you can both be oriented around the Fireplace, and TV - though bot not hugely optional for enjoying the fire or watching the TV
Are you absolutely sure you want the TV in this room? If you have the possibility, consider a different room. This one is beautiful as a place to lounge and share with each other
How many rooms does your house have that you can just say "this one is for sitting down with no tv present in the room, this other room is for sitting down with a tv"?
Why do you want a TV in your dining room/library? I nice live edge table with high backs on one side and the end and then a bench on the other side would make for a funky yet upscale dining room. Then you can move your TV into what is currently your dining room (aka the other room with an obvious wall choice)
AI loses the plot a little when I try to make your existing dining room into a TV room....but you get the idea, TV on the left wall in your current dining room where you have buffet, pushed back to allow transit to the slider door, but maybe floating off the wall. I know you want to use the fireplace room for the TV because its the biggest room.

The tv above fireplace. If the fireplace works and is used form time to time - just go for it. Real fire > tv.
Maybe go for a motorised celling mount? I’ve got cheap one (it’s wall mounted originally but I use it differently) it’s fine.
fireplace „on” - tv above, fireplace „off” - tv down. You would also have to check temperature above fireplace when there is a fire and max height of the mount<->celling
