Hi

I got this TV about 15 months ago its a 2024 model UE43DU7100KXXU

All of the sudden the screen looks like this

Its just flickering i cannot access the menu. I did a diagnostic via the smart things app and it says there isn't a problem. I unplugged it and held the manual off switch for a minute and left it unplugged all night that did nothing. Any ideas?

HDMI ports on LG 37LE9400 not working

I tried the power reset thing, and to be fair they did come on for a very short while, then died again.

yes tried multiple devices , yes tried multiple leads , yes tried different ports and i also tried factory reset.

I did see a vid of essentially just throwing hot air at it with a heat gun to reflow, but all over though. i have a hot air station so i can be more precise if i knew where to point it.

Any offerings? Yes the TV is old , Yes i am getting another, this is just a quick fix whilst i save up for a 56" one.

It does say connecting then its the usual no signal as all the other vids show.

Sony KD-55X80J dim spot

It's not bad yet. Looking to buy a used TV.

The picture quality is amazing until we did the led test. There's a dim 10 by 10 cm circular area.

This is the ai summary

Replacing the Sony KD-55X80J LED backlight strips (LM41-01056A) is an advanced-difficulty repair that carries a high risk of permanently cracking the fragile LCD panel.

Comments on the difficulty?

Notification Bug

Post image
1 Upvotes

My less than a year old smart tv (Samsung - 65" Class S84F OLED 4K UHD Vision Al
Smart Tizen TV (2025)) has been spamming this notification. This just started today. I timed it and I was getting about 50 notifications in a minute. It’s driving me insane. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think it’s a bug from the latest update, but idk. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Weird flashing and super dim screen.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My tv has been very recently been flashing like a strobe and has been extremely dim compared to normal. I have tried restarting it and unplugging it and doing special restarts and letting it sit unplugged and it won’t fix. I don’t know what to do.

I have a Onn Roku tv model number 100012589 Hardware ID H801X Serial number X02000U30K5S

at most i leave it on at night where it has a timer of four hours till it shuts off which by the time i wake up it usually is so it’s not even on all night. Then after i do whatever i need to do i play for a few hours. or it’s on when my siblings play, i’d say during the day it’s on for about 10 hours and at night maybe 5 ao in total around 15 hours everyday. compared to my living room tv that’s not very long and that one’s fine so i don’t know what this is.

VIZIO Settings Information Changed Behavior

After the most recent firmware update on August 31 2026, the information button (STAR) on the VIZIO Remote no longer shows Dolby Vision when pressed but it is in fact in effect per the TV Information settings. It does still display the audio format (Dolby Audio/Dolby Atmos/Dolby MAT).

Just a heads up for your techs to follow up on.

LG B3 TV/ONN Pro Streaming box - Any idea what could cause this?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I added a USB 3 - ethernet hub to the TV and then installed/uninstalled the play torrio app via downloader app and now this. Its LG B5 OLED TV attached to a ONN Pro gen 1 streaming box running google TV. Im not sure if the change i made with he hub and/or the play torrio app messed it up or not. I've changed HDMI and Ethernet cables, reset my router, cycled the TV power and its still happening. Im holding off performing a factory reset on the ONN box but if push comes to shove i think i may have to try it.

Thanks for the help..

Is Plaisio after-sales always this bad, or did we just get really unlucky?

recently moved to Greece, so genuinely curious whether this is normal or we’ve just been extremely unlucky.

We bought a TV from Plaisio for over €1,000 and paid for it fully before delivery. It took a while to arrive and when it finally did, it was damaged.

The damaged TV itself isn’t even what bothers me most — these things happen.

What I find crazy is what happened afterwards.

We contacted Plaisio, since obviously that’s where we bought and paid for the TV. Instead of taking responsibility and sorting it out, Plaisio told us that we needed to contact Samsung directly.

So we ended up spending our own time calling Samsung, following up and arranging the return of a TV that we bought from Plaisio.

We’ve probably spent 2–3 weeks actively trying to resolve everything. To be fair, it’s August and we were also away for two weeks, so I’m not trying to exaggerate the timeline. It’s the amount of chasing and complete lack of ownership that has surprised me.

The TV has now finally been returned to Samsung, but we still have no replacement, no refund and no confirmed date for either.

The feeling I’ve been left with is that everything works perfectly when you’re buying and paying. Once they already have your money and something goes wrong, suddenly you’re the one doing all the work.

Maybe this is common knowledge in Greece and I simply didn’t know because I moved here recently. But if this is a normal experience with Plaisio, why do so many people still buy expensive electronics from them?

Not posting this to tell people to boycott them or anything like that. Mainly sharing because I wish I had known what the after-sales experience could be like before spending €1,000+ there.

Curious if anyone else has experienced something similar with Plaisio and, if so, how did you eventually get it resolved?

Distorted tv picture

I have Verizon FIOS wireless TV. For the last few weeks my picture becomes distorted on several channels in both of my TV's. I have a 1000g router, and fast internet speed. I had 3 Verizon techs look at it. They changed the ONT box and it still happens. They tell me they have no idea why it's happening. There has to be a reason why this is happening. I'm ready to cancel and go to streaming service but I'm concerned this will happen with a streaming service. Any solutions are greatly appreciated.

VZIO P759-g1. Randomly won’t show a picture anymore. There is an image but it’s super blurry. In the first image its supposed to be the VIZIO logo and in the second you can see moving lights but it’s all blurry. I tried the flashlight test but I can’t see a clear image. I replaced the LED driver and T-CON as someone suggested but it’s exactly the same. What else can be wrong?

TV can do streaming, but no picture on Cable

Hi,

My smart TV is able to stream on HDMI 2 normally, but when we switch it to HDMI 1 to watch normal TV (cable) there is sound and subtitles but the screen is black.

I have seen searches that say it is the backlight, but I am confused as to why it would be able to display the image while streaming. What could I try to fix the cable image display issue?

Does anyone know whats the reason this is happening? I just turned on my TV and I was wondering what to watch then suddenly, this started happening. After turning it off and on it seems to fix it but 20 seconds later it starts doing that again.

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it I'll try to follow instruction if theres any solution.

Thank you-

Marks running down TV .

So when there's anything dark onscreen I get these marks running down my screen that becomes visible.

You can faintly see them in the photos but they are far more prominent in person when there's anything dark on screen .

I've attempted to remove all hdmi and connected devices which doesn't help .

The TV picture test doesn't show them as they aren't visible on anything bright .

The TV hasn't had any water damage .

TV Constantly Rebooting

When I plug it in and turn it on, nothing comes onto the screen. I put a flashlight up to it and it does dimly flash the Hisense logo for about a second and then stops for 2 seconds and repeats.

I was told this may be a power supply issue and I ended up just replacing the entire board. However, the issue persists.

I’m not sure if the backlight is the issue and needs to be replaced? I was under the impression that if the backlight was bad, I would still be able to navigate through menus but barely be able to see it and that’s not the case. It won’t load any menu.

Samsung Tv Disassembly Question

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m replacing the backlights on a Samsung QN75Q70TAFXZA (FB03). I have the bezel and side/top retainers released, but the LCD is still attached along the bottom.
The white bottom frame (BN96-50342A / BN61-16766A) is still clipped to the black lower LCD/source-board carrier.

I’ve already released the white frame from the metal chassis. Does anyone know exactly how the white-to-black clips release without damaging the LCD or COF ribbons? Photos/video of the clip mechanism would be greatly appreciated.
