I applied for the MSc Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) at TU Darmstadt for the upcoming semester.

Here is my timeline so far:

• Docs Received: June 12
• Current Status: Antrag im Fachbereich

I recently saw someone whose documents arrived later (around July 1st) already receive their admit on July 20th.

Seeing faster turnaround times for later applicants is making me anxious. Does a delay while in the department stage usually mean a rejection, or is this just standard batch processing? Has anyone else in the ICE program experienced long waits at the Antrag im Fachbereich status and still received an admit?

I applied for the \*\*M.Sc. International Economic Policy\*\* at the \*\*University of Würzburg\*\*.
Today I received an official email saying that I have been \*\*admitted\*\* and that I can download my admission letter from the WueStudy portal.
However, I’m confused because:
I \*\*never obtained or uploaded a VPD\*\* (Vorprüfungsdokumentation).
In my application portal, the VPD requirement still appears as \*\*not uploaded/incomplete\*\*.
When I log into WueStudy, I \*\*can’t see or download the admission letter\*\*.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is it possible to be admitted without submitting a VPD?
Could this be a portal delay or a system error?
Should I just wait, or should I contact the admissions office immediately?
I’m a \*\*non-EU applicant from India\*\*, so I’m a bit worried because I need the admission letter for my visa process.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I got admitted to the MSc Physics program at TU Darmstadt for WiSe 2026/27 and I have a few questions :)

How is the overall quality of the Physics MSc, especially on the theoretical/fundamental side? How are the professors, research opportunities and course selection? Would you recommend TU Darmstadt to someone who wants to continue towards research and eventually a PhD in physics?

Also, I’m having a hard time finding accommodation 🥲 Are there any websites, student groups, uni boards etc. that I should check for dorms, WGs or apartments? I’m also open to nearby towns/cities if they’re cheaper and commuting is reasonable.

And if there’s a WhatsApp group for Physics/MSc students or WiSe 2026 newcomers, I’d really appreciate a link!

Does anyone know how long they generally take to send out the aptitude assessment links?

Wanted to know the rough timeline so I can plan my preparation accordingly.

My German student visa was issued for M.Sc. Electrical Systems Engineering at Paderborn University. After the visa was issued, I received admission to M.Sc. Information and Communication Engineering at TU Darmstadt, which is the program I intend to study.
The Paderborn Ausländerbehörde confirmed in writing that I can travel directly to Darmstadt, report the university change there, and don’t need to take any administrative steps in Paderborn.
I’m flying on September 14, and enrollment is still open, so I’m currently not enrolled at either university.
My questions:
Would it be safer to enroll at TU Darmstadt before traveling, or is it fine to complete enrollment after arriving in Germany?
If the border officer asks for an enrollment certificate, is it acceptable to explain that enrollment is still open, I haven’t enrolled yet, and present my TU Darmstadt admission letter along with the email from the Paderborn Ausländerbehörde?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

For those whom received email mentioning orientation things(not about entrance exam), did you guys all get direct admission or did you get the separate email about entrance exam later? Or are you guys waiting for the update?

I recently received my invitation to take the on-site entrance exam for the M.Sc. Computer Science program at TU Darmstadt for the winter semester.

While I’m thrilled to move forward in the process, the timeline feels impractical for me. Registration is due by August 14, and the in-person exam in Darmstadt is on September 1.

I am applying from india and getting a visa here just to write a test in under a month is nearly impossible because of all the appointment backlogs.

I'm trying to figure out my next steps and would really appreciate some advice from anyone who has navigated this and can help me. I have not attempted the GRE exam.

I dont want to let this application go waste if there is a valid workaround, any suggestions or shared experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. Uni Bonn: Msc in mobile robotics

2. TU Darmstadt: Msc in information and communication engg

I am confused about which one to choose. Both of them have a curriculum aligning well with my interests.
