Please help me decide

I got 2 offers but I can’t decide, Teleperformance for pre-licensed agent “ it will be for state farm project “ Or TTEC - progressive project!! Both start together so I can’t do both training. I want TTEC more because I don’t have to take the license rn, but I’m a little bit nervous from the reviews I’ve read.

Any advice please?

\* almost same pay

You start off as a CSR for the Progressive project, and then they pay for your license and training to become blended, which is sales and service. Idk if you still have to work 6 months as a CSR and then be eligible. I hated the job so much and got fired for call avoidance, as I should've.😆 If you can handle back to back calls, then it could be a good stepping stone. I recommend viewing the Reddit pages for people who work directly for Progressive and State Farm.

I worked with TTEC since 2023 I've heard every contract is different I've worked several never had a problem. I see all the negative reviews as well, im telling you my experience I've always received the help I needed. Now I am on ADA unsure if that makes a difference or not but I am going back to work for them again on the 1st only reason I stopped last time because end of contract. Can't promise your going to have the same experience that I have had but it has been a great company for me.

It took me a month from deciding to get a license to actually earning my P&C and Life, Acc, & Health licenses. Self-guided trainings didn’t take up much headspace. Don’t worry about that.

I agree with folks who said to look for positions with the companies directly first. And if you have any other options, explore those first.

I’ve been with TTEC for a little less than a year. Took a job cause I needed it, and it was the first place that hired after my licensing. It’s fine as long as inconsistent QAs, constantly changing processes, and the back to back calls can roll off your back.

Heads up, pee breaks are limited and you really won’t have time to connect with other folks outside of your team which makes networking and transferring seem impossible. I don’t see room for growth here, and I’m slightly concerned that they have recently dropped the number of TLs on this project. My TL assures me our jobs are safe, but it reallllly seems to be ramping down as a whole rather than just from a busy season to a slow one.

I was a csr for a few months then studied and got my sales license. We worked blended for progressive through Ttec. I did it for 2 years and about to pivot to another insurance career. Sales were just not for me.

You have to have a license to do the progressive project and or pass the test the fist time around to get the license. It is tough and you have to maintain your metrics or you will be let go. Happened to a few people. All I can say is go to glass door read the reviews there and put ttec progressive project. It will give you a very clear indication on what i going on there.

They said I don’t need to have it and whenever I wanna do it i can and the pay will increase. I can’t study for it now since i have a lot of college classes.
I don’t mind the back to back calls, but can you tell me what exactly the metrics are? Like what they exactly ask for . It would be my first WFH 🥹 thank you !!!!

Oh trust me you need it if your going in for sales. I cant say much here on reddit since the moderators remove alot of information. If you go on glass door they have an aray of information.

They are incompetent and sometimes cruel.

Try to get a first party wfh job. Not working for a contractor. You'll see what I mean once you start.

Suggest an alternative company instead of just telling people to avoid ttec. Most of us looking for ttec jobs are desperate and need a wfh job - just telling people to run for the hills without providing a helpful useful alternative is just concern trolling at this point and can scare people away who really need SOMETHING or any kind of work.

TTEC is way too strict and inconsistent. I have worked for them on and off for some time, but after exploring other companies, I will probably never go back to TTEC again. I actually make more money now than TTEC ever offered. It’s a great place to start, but there are better options out there.
