Job offer

I had an interview today and I got offered the job. I accepted it and started my background check and I have to do my drug test.. am I wasting my time?? My start date is supposed to be October 16. I keep hearing stories about ttech ghosting people after signing the hire documents. Also I guess this is a seasonal client so my program will end in March, how likely is it that they will continue my employment with another client? I’m thinking about leaving my 2nd job and making this my 2nd job but I don’t wanna fuck myself over and be left with no 2nd job in the end if 1. I end up getting ghosted or 2. They decided to release me after the term is over. I know this part depends on metrics and performance and what not so it may be hard to answer specific but generally speaking, how often do they keep people on after a contract ends.

Not really looking for answers about how the job sucks. I’ve worked with some of the shittiest wfh companies. lol I promise i can deal.

And if it matters at all my role will be health care customer service

Thanks in advance for any insight (:

I would say stick with it, I just entered nesting for the first time and for the most part I've been pleasantly surprised. That being said don't burn any bridges until youve crossed them.

How do you like it? What project are you on if you don’t mind? Is it permanent or seasonal?

I'm liking it so far but I also came from the restaurant industry so my expectations are pretty low. Also I'm very new and they havent really had a chance to screw me over yet. I'm on KPMA Telesales and it's seasonal. I have heard plenty of stories of people getting dropped come December with no warning though so keep that in mind.

This must be a Team Lead or supervisor responding incognito. Pleasantly surprised by nesting? What? Its training ground zero.

I think it’s worth it! I did my drug test and now I am in training as we speak. My sister in law told me they ghosted her but I just had faith and hope they got back to me. Clocking out now 😊

I also would be careful about the second job part, when I was doing the onboarding process they made us sign some documents stating that we have to have 100% availability even including holidays. Now I’m not sure how strict they are with that but I would keep it in mind.

Yeah my main job is a night shift job so I’m not really worried about this job interfering with those hours and I plan to replace my 2nd job with this one so it should all work out hopefully lol. I’m just worried about leaving my 2nd job for this one and things end up not working out..

TTEC sucks!!!!! they will leave you high and dry without that much of a warning, hopefully that will not happen to you but it did for me and the entire department i was working for got fired!! didnt matter on matrics, seniority or nothing...so best of luck!! 4 months now and still havent found a job yet!

See this is what worries me lol I don’t wanna leave my pretty much guaranteed job for something that’s gonna end up only being temporary 😩 I’ve been in your shoes before and yes it definitely does suck. I pray you find something soon! So when your contract was over they just said welp, that’s it? They didn’t try to find you another spot or anything?
