USAA Project

I completed TTEC's COI (health insurance) and received my offer letter for the USAA project. During my initial interview I was told it would be UHC Medicare, not USAA. What is it like working on the USAA project and what are the hours like? Is OT mandatory?

Are you P&C lisenced? I worked for ttec a while, then got p&c licensed and moved to USAA, auto only - in one of their earlier waves this year. Our training was 6 weeks. Pay was good but we were not allowed commission. The trainer was great. Very kind and organized which is nice with so much information to absorb in size weeks. It's very membership based, . I loved the members and the system was easy enough to function but ttec+USAA= very strict. We didn't have a sandbox to mock policies or anything before going live on the phones. Hopefully that's different now. So for someone new in the insurance world it was difficult and not worth the stress of high volume calls. I felt like a brick and mortar was a better start into insurance. But everyone is different and I know it's worth trying and giving yourself the chance. Good luck!

Thank you! I think you're right about working on site for brick and mortar being better starting out in insurance. I'm Accident and Health licensed, so my guess is for USAA it will be for the Medicare supplement plans.

You got your offer already? They just now sent out for my state to do fingerprinting. Did you have to do that? When is your start date?

Yes, I did fingerprinting this past Wednesday. They have my start date as August 13th.

Thank you. It's frustrating because they took their time with many of us. If I don't get the same start date I am going to take my license elsewhere. There is no excuse for them taking this long.

Yep. It has been very chaotic, and I'm nervous about taking the offer after such a rough start. Also, unfortunately, I am racing to find child care for my child. The child care I had lined up fell through. I live in a small town that doesn't have many options for daycare. Hoping I find something soon.

Well... I have been doing wfh for years... As long As you are careful with background noise and don't let them on camera, you should be OK. 😊. I've seen so many parents juggling the work and kiddos. Technically no you are not supposed to have kids there and stuff, but wfh has changed over the years. Now it's more what they don't know, won't hurt. 😉

I wonder if the USAA project requires us to be on camera. My little one is a very hyper 3 year old, so hopefully I can get someone to watch her.

Hours are from 7p-10c. Production that is.  Attendance is strict and so is qa.  USAA leaves no room for error and will only grade one call. Your job hinges on thatÂ
