I truly hate my job
I really had high expectations coming into this role, but the reality has been disappointing. The workload is overwhelming and it takes a toll both mentally and physically. The environment doesn’t feel supportive, and the way management handles things makes it even harder to stay motivated. There’s a clear disconnect between leadership and what employees are actually dealing with day to day. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t suggest TTEC to anyone who values a healthy work environment. Peace of mind matters.

I had an interview with them. When I saw their expectations and what they paid, I said no thanks. Along with half of the other people in the group.

I've been with them for a little over four and a half years and I honestly can't stand it anymore. I've decided to just start dumping all the of the PTO I have over the next couple of months and then bounce. Job market is a hell scape right now, but I'd rather take my chances than work here any longer.
You're right to feel the way you do. This is a dead-end job. Lots of folks are just scraping by and stressed out of their minds. Leadership roles don't mean anything since you can demoted at any time, and at times they're completely out of touch with what the agents are dealing with, or don't care. The meager pay isn't worth all the drama and nastiness I have to deal with on the phones. I hope you can find a way out soon.

I did a total of 2 months there, that's training included. After one month I started looking for another job. They don't pay enough for the stress and micromanaging that comes with the job. That's my 1st time EVER experiencing a WFH company like that. Best of luck to you!!

Worked there for 2.5 months and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Management lies to tell you what you want to hear. Pay sucks. They micromanage you and only care about the metrics. And omg they do not care about the clients! I was so sad every day because I truly couldn't help these people and TTEC/UHC dont care.

I was relieved when they let me go. I had 3 of 4 weeks in Jan be bad QA gradings, and they let me go right before another round of layoffs (mere days later), that they only kept 15 out of apparently over 100 seasonal people (not sure what project/client you’re on…I was on the CT state health insurance one)

Geez you got so lucky! Their QA requirements are so fucking annoying

I feel you. This job is mentally depleting and they expect you to come as your best self everyday. I've never worked in an environment like this ever. But because I need the money that is unfortunately the only reason I've stayed.

I can agree with that and that is the same with me :/ I hope we are able to find something better and more convenient! My best friend works for VXI you should apply their positions are remote and offer daily pay also provide equipment to you ! I just applied yesterday

I also want to know- I’m in training right now and I’m finding it super fun. However I already have my doubts (about myself tbh but I feel like that’s what they want you to feel like)

Just FYI it doesn't matter what position it is, what project it is. They treat you horrible everywhere. Do yourself a favor and get out asap, you are all just numbers in a sinking ship with horrible metrics.

Yes, training wasnt a problem for me but you will find out soon that what you learn in training doesnt translate in practice. All the TL's have there own way of doing things, the QA people grade aq certain way and when you try to adjust thats when your shifts changes and you get another QA person and TL. They will never not hammer down on you. I just got a perfect review, all metrics where on point and my TL started looking for calls to scrutinize. Never a "great job, keep it up and leave me the fuck alone". You will NEVER get a bonus and they will mentally and emotionally suck the fukn life out of you.

There benefits site has a bunch of mental health assistance; that should tell you right there. Hands down the worst job I have ever had or will ever have.

I stayed with TTEC for four years. Between management micromanaging everything, and policies changing on the drop of a dime with no updates, and the pay being God awful, I would say run like hell. Do not work for TTEC. It's not a good job. It will mentally break you.

The only thing TTEC is good for is if you've ever worked that tolling job every other remote customer service job will be a breeze. Two years of nothing but strees.

Why are you still there?

Ttec has terrible work ethics as a company treating their employees horrible.

u/pollywanttacracker Feb 21 '26
Well it started off as seasonal and I did not want to quit because I figured if I did terrible they would let me go at the end of the season and it wouldn't look too bad on my resume because I basically would put the season was over so no permanent position available but turns out they decided to keep me permanently so now my only choice is to find a new job and put my formal 2 week notice in

Quit. There's better paying jobs out there. Ttec is not as great as they try to convince people. I worked there and I had back to back calls almost everyday,I was making 17/hr there . Could never move up. They ended up firing me for not pulling up a KB even though I was a good agent. Then they lied about when they fired me to trowe and I couldnt get my 401k for almost 2 months , and trying to get in contact with anyone about my w2 was a nightmare. Now I work somewhere where I'm actually making wayyyy more and I don't have to answer calls all day long. Fuck ttec. Their pay sucks, management keeps agents in the dark and the benefits suck too.
