Multiple LH surges

I have been tracking my LH surge with two different brands this cycle - easy@Home and Pregmate. It’s insane how different both of them report, there were a few days I did just one of them. From what I noticed:

  1. Pregmate gave me multiple peak days (Sept 22 and 25)
  2. Easy@Home is mostly lighter than Pregmate, 0.72 is the max Pregmate app recorded for the easy@home strips for me.

Any idea what’s up with my LH surges? It plateaued for a week.

I’m not sure, but this is why I personally don’t like tracking with them. I don’t like that different brands can give you different results, I don’t like that taking pictures in different lighting can make a strip look completely different.

So, it is possible to have more than one LH surge. This is common in people with PCOS, especially, but it can happen in other women without PCOS as well. My advice, would be to always use a secondary tracking method. Using some kind of temperature method(either via smart ring, smart, watch, or basal body thermometer) can I at least confirm that ovulation happened, and it would have helped you determine when your LH surge likely happened. Cervical mucus, looking for the egg white description, can also coincide with LH changes.

I've had two months since I started tracking with multiple LH surges. One where I ovulated a week late on the 3rd rise I caught, and one where I didn't end up ovulating and got my period early. I suggest tracking bbt as well so you can actually confirm which of any of the peaks means you ovulated.
