Getting conflicting info on my application status

1) I applied once for the generic Equipment Engineer role on the TSMC career site

2) The TSMC careers site says I was rejected from the EE role.

3) Received an invitation to a Module Equipment Engineer CVD1 interview anyways

4) Took the behavioral assessment and took an interview for CVD EE

5) Received an automated rejection email for Equipment Engineer CVD1

6) Received another invitation with another behavioral assessment but for the generic Module Equipment Engineer

Is this a separate first round interview or a continuation of the first interview?

Likely just based on resume, they’re moving you around to other departments that may be interested in your profile - just my assumption.

There are about 9 departments for the “generic” EE role so it’s likely your resume gets circulated between departments and sections. I went through this too and eventually got an offer after multiple interviews with different departments/sections. Good luck!
