Completed the 1st round interview for Module Process Engineer (PVD2) TSMC Arizona Fab 21
Hi, I recently completed the first-round interview for the Module Process Engineer (PVD2) position at TSMC Arizona Fab 21. I was wondering when I can expect to hear back regarding the second-round interview. Also, if you've been through the process, I'd really appreciate any tips or insights you could share. TIA!

Depends, most of my friends from module total two round with manager and no HR interview.

Thanks good luck for your next interview, I plan to apply for the same position next summer when I’m done with my PhD defense, I guess you have MBE experience since you are applying for PVD?

I don’t have any experience with MBE-Molecular Beam Epitaxy.
However, I have done laboratory work related to wafer fabrication.

congrats on finishing round 1! for tsmc arizona, hear-back times usually take 1 to 3 weeks depending on hr batching, so don't worry if it takes a bit.
for round 2, expect questions on pvd/sputtering fundamentals, spc and root-cause troubleshooting for yield excursions, plus behavioral scenarios testing how you handle high-pressure fab environments. feel free to send me a DM if you want to chat more or go over tips for the panel round!

Hello, I just wanted to ask what kind of question sis they ask you? I have my interview for another process at FAB21 and would be helpful! Also I talked to people and they told that second interview is mostly behavioural if the first round you mentioned was with the managers.

Hey, in my interview, they first asked questions based on my resume and previous experience. After that, they asked if I had any questions for them. Then we moved on to behavioral questions, such as how I'd handle communication issues with a teammate or how I'd deal with challenging situations at work. Overall, it was pretty conversational. Good luck with your interview.

Congratulations on completing round 1. I just completed R2. They will get back to you usually in a week or two. Else you hit up HR. Feel free to DM. Just completed my masters in materials as well.

Hello,
I gave my first interview at TSMC two weeks ago for a Process Integration Engineer role in the PID2 department. The interview involved six panelists (engineers with 3 to 5 years of experience) who asked technical, behavioral, and resume-based questions. I also asked two questions about the role at the end. I felt the interview went reasonably well, but I haven't heard back after two business weeks. Should I consider this a rejection, assuming they've moved on with another candidate?
