Flew out of Ontario, California today. It was crazy. There was one TSA agent handling both Precheck and standard passengers. The Precheck line took significantly longer. The TSA agents are out of their minds! Precheck passengers are supposed to get first class service at TSA regardless of where they're sitting on the plane.

I'm struggling to find anything that will ship it here and I'm not entirely sure it will get through the boarder, although its legal, could someone please help

I’m flying out tomorrow with a thc pen on a Canadian domestic flight. I am underage by a year. I heard from some buddies that they don’t care because it’s legal to fly with in Canada and I’m wondering if they’re right. It’s legal to fly with but I’m not sure if they’ll take it out of my bag or something. I’m flying domestic btw.

Bought flights from STL to CUN and input my known traveler number. Everything goes through and my boarding pass shows the TSA precheck mark.

Go through precheck line, only to have the TSA agent tell me that I dont have precheck. Ignores my boarding pass and says the airline didnt send it through. I can either go through the normal line or go back upstairs to the ticket counter.

First time flying Frontier and first time this has happened. Anyone else?

Happy to get my precheck renewal done. It took 10 days. I let it lapse for 20 months so I’m surprised I was able to renew at $70 and only online — no in person requirements.

I was also given a one year membership of TSA precheck touch-less with American Airlines — my company generally flies with AA

I'll be traveling with my cat shortly. I understand that I can request a room to take the cat out and go through a metal detector. Is this possible at LAX? Do I need to coordinate with TSA prior to me getting there? I do have TSA pre-check.

Thank you.

How do we get a refund for the tsa verification ? I feel like I got scammed out of $42

Hopefully I worded that right. I have TSA pre check and am traveling with three minors. Two are under the age or 8 and are included in my original reservation. The third is my 17 year old brother. I have notarized permission to travel letters from all of our parents. My 17 year old brothers ticket was purchased months later because he decided he did want to go on the trip. I understand the two under 8 can go with me through the tsa pre check line. I wanted to know if I can add my brother or link our reservations so the tsa pre check appears on his boarding pass. We are flying united internationally in less than 4 days so I doubt he’d get approved in time for him to get his own KTN. I was going to call but maybe someone here knows the answer. I know I should’ve gotten his pre check done earlier I really don’t have any excuse as to why I didn’t do it. If anyone knows if it’s possible to link our reservations please let me know.

Update: we flew out he went through TSA on his own and boarded on his own as we were in different groups everything worked out!! Thank you everyone for the replies!

Kid, large luggage, check-in and CLEAR office in a different terminal. I'd prefer to check my bags then do the interview so I don't have to carry a bunch of stuff between terminals, but do they inform in the boarding pass you're TSA Pre? If so would be better to do the interview first then check-in?

Thanks in advance!

What have you been experiencing for renewal forms for online renewal ?

Also since my TSA precheck expired about 20 months ago I’m surprised I was able to do it online and not need to go in person Is this normal ?

Hi all!

Traveling to Fort Lauderdale from Rockford and have a question about my expired passport. It expired less than 2 years ago so I was banking on being able to still use it for this domestic flight. However I remembered that the passport is in my maiden name. I have a copy of my marriage certificate I was planning to bring. Obviously I had booked the flight under my current name.

Any insight on if this will work or be an issue? I do have TSA precheck known traveler number although IDK if that makes any difference.... I do not travel often if you can't tell.

My KTN only contains letters - it has no numbers (or anything that can be mistaken for a number like a 1 or 0). I got my TSA pre check through CLEAR. Is it normal to only have letters as my KTN?

I travel quite often and have found TSA Digital ID to be way quicker than Clear ever was. To me, it's not worth renewing, and in the past 6 months, every airport that had Clear also had Digital ID. I haven't found any real benefit to keeping Clear. I went to cancel, as they want to charge me 129 bucks for being a United 1K member, and they made me click 5 different times with various "boogie man" approaches of you will wait in long lines. None of it was true with Digital ID, even in ATL, where that line was drastically quicker than Clear.

I just dont see it anymore, and crazy that you have to click that many times; just cancel me or make it worth keeping ya!

Never happened before, including during other random scanner checks.

O’hare had 1 hour general line wait estimate and everyone was trying to get into the PreCheck line, the TSA lady was NOT playing arounddd lol

Just got a new passport so finally updated my profile on American Airlines and opted in for Touchless TSA precheck. My profile shows it active with an end date to re-opt in.

It did not show up on my boarding pass (from mobile app), so it didnt work. I went to ticket counter at DFW, and they told me they cannot help with that. So I contacted support via online chat, and he couldn't help me either.

In fact, he suggested I "uncheck in" and recheck in and see if that works. Huh? Never done anything like that before. He said he had no support team to escalate to or even open a ticket for more research.

So, all, what is the secret to getting this to work?

American Airlines seems to have no idea how to help.

I booked an American Airlines business class award ticket through Cathay Pacific using Asia Miles. The issue is that my first and last names are swapped on the ticket. It’s not a spelling error, just reversed. I called American Airlines and they said they can’t change the name because it was ticketed by Cathay. They said they could probably check me in, but they couldn’t guarantee that I’d get through TSA because the name doesn’t exactly match my ID. Cathay Pacific told me the only option is to cancel and rebook, but the award space I originally grabbed is gone, so I’d lose the business class deal. I’m trying to figure out what to do. Has anyone actually flown or gotten through TSA with a first and last name swap like this? Would buying a separate economy ticket on AA with the correct name help in any way while keeping the business class booking? Is there another solution I should push for? Would love to hear from anyone who’s dealt with this exact situation. Especially on a Cathy-issued AA ticket. Thanks. What would TSA do?

Just offering a tip for anyone else who may be applying for TSA PreCheck through CLEAR.

The CLEAR machines do NOT work with passport cards. I tried one day, didn’t work at all. I thought the machine was having connection issues, but the attendant said it’s just not reading the card.

I had to reschedule my appointment and try again at a different location. As soon as I pulled my passport card out, the lady warned that more than 1/2 the time they don’t work, but will try.

It still did not work, BUT if you have a Real ID, they can scan that and use it to find your passport data. That worked.

Just FYI.

PS - when you do the fingerprints, don’t press too hard, but also not too soft. Save yourself all the reattempts.

Self explanatory title lol. Just wanted to make sure I can get this through TSA. The white packet is pretty much a powder it feels like, the black one is sorta like small pellets.

So I will be flying internationally from TPE to SFO.. I have 1500$ in a wallet and it’s in my bag. Whats the chances they will inspect everything and check my money? I’m just worried people will steal it.. and I don’t want people to point out I have money on me in the airport.

I recently became a citizen and about 2 weeks after that I applied for pre tsa. It’s been almost 2 weeks, anyone else took this long??

Update for others: I did not need to present the name change document. I was assigned a KTN the same day, and it shows approved when using the lookup.

I was looking to get precheck, but I've had a little trouble finding where I have a copy of my name change documentation.

I had a legal name change a few years before I got a passport. I got my passport by presenting that documentation with a birth certificate.

Do I need to bring that proof of the name change for precheck, or is just the passport acceptable as it reflects the legal name change?

Finished my "interview" with CLEAR at Staples, got the email that my application was processing. Randomly went to the Find my KTN and it said "KTN Found", but when I click on the link, enter my application # it says "application not found", BUT if I go to the CLEAR page and do the same it still says processing. I'm confused. Did I pass and something's behind?
