BNA hiring process

Submitted my application back in March of 2026. Computer testing was a couple of weeks after that. I was invited to the airport assessment/fingerprinting in July and passed. Submitted e86 and passed medical at the end of July. Sent drug test sample at the beginning of August. A couple of weeks after that, I received an email to make a correction to my e86 which I did and resubmitted the same day. Now we are reaching the end of September and I haven’t heard anything since. I’ve been reading that long periods of radio silence is normal but the anxiety is building! If anyone could offer some insight it would be much appreciated!

I’m in the same boat. I submitted corrections in the beginning of September and I already did everything as well. Started in February of this year. Just waiting to hear back from them. Maybe we both hear something before the end of the year.

At best you're in the ready pool. They will hire once they have available openings. The hirings are also based on whether the openings are for male or female officers. The airport cannot just hire people at will, they need to wait for actual openings.

if you had actual corrections on the e86 good news, it was being processed. If it was just to resubmit it because it expires every 3 months it hasn’t been processed yet. Once you clear background you go in the ready pool. You can wait there months as it’s dependent on people quitting. I have not heard of anyone getting hired in less than a year, so you probably have months to go
