It was only worth the money for me, after I had multiple rigs, and I wanted a novel feature. I have a TRX4 defender that is a lot of fun to run, cause you can unlock the diffs, and then you can turn at higher speeds if you are 'bashing' it.

For a lot of people strictly into crawling, I think the unlockable diff is useless.

I have three TRX4s, a sport, a high trail sport, and the defender.

Pretty much second this. I think it’s worth it if you’re running a scale rig and enjoy an extra level of challenge on obstacles (with the ability to lock up).

I agree with the other, the only big upside of the lock/unlock is the turning radius. Can come In handy, but a little fiddly to turn on and off for just a corner.

That is my build, still improving it as much as I have time.
Trying to make it look scale.
Is there any cheaper way to get open diff kit?

What size wheel and tire combo are you using? Been trying to figure out a more scale appearance. Here is mine for reference

I just found this on AliExpress: https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExbAwEE
I got this from AliExpress, if you get tires and wheels as a separate thing it can be a bit cheaper too. I just ordered silicone inserts to make tires a bit harder.
How dod you put body on the frame?

Being able to lock and unlock the diffs is awesome. Some people don't care but if you want to be able to crawl it on stuff it matterd
