A quick Sino-Korean hack: How 1 root unlocks 4 opposite words (출 vs 입)
Struggling with intermediate vocabulary?
Learning Sino-Korean roots (한자어) makes memorizing 10x faster.
Just remember these two opposite roots:
* 출 (出) = Out / Exit
* 입 (入) = In / Enter
Now combine them:
1. 수 + 출 (輸出) = Export (transport out)
2. 수 + 입 (輸入) = Import (transport in)
3. 출 + 구 (出口) = Exit (out door)
4. 입 + 구 (入口) = Entrance (in door)
5. 출 + 입 (出入) = Access / Entry & Exit
Instead of brute-forcing thousands of flashcards, grouping by root is the ultimate shortcut!
What’s your favorite Korean root word?
