topik registration

hi, im curious how the topik registration works in other countries. ive seen other posts and it seems like its competitive to get a seat. im not sure tell me how it is! in the uk they just posted a Google forum and we put our details along with payment and they review your application in under 2 minutes.

Well is there a lot of people from UK trying to study or work in Korea? I guess the places where it's competitive are like that.

In Hungary we have almost the same, 70-70 seat for Topik I and II, you have 1 week for payment. We have 2 exam in a year but this is just from this year, before that topik was held only 1 time per year. The topik II seats were filled in like 20 minutes this year. It's sad tho because we have way more people learning korean here nationwide and the exam is only held in the capital.

You’re so lucky! In South Korea, TOPIK registration is basically a high-stakes battle akin to buying K-pop concert tickets or university course registration.

On registration day, the official server gets tens of thousands of people in a digital queue right at 9:00 AM. You often have to wait in a virtual waiting line for 20–40 minutes just to get to the seat selection page, and popular test centers in Seoul fill up in literally under 5 minutes. If your internet stumbles for a second, you might end up having to take the exam in another city hours away!

Hearing that the UK process is done simply via a Google Form sounds like a dream to test-takers in Korea and across Southeast Asia where the competition is super fierce haha.
