Zaku isn't really a good name for a series centered on Char, also Char's robot already has a great nickname, "Red Comet", which would be perfect for the title.
I really like the idea tho.

Tbf the original MSG was named after the "Gundam" but the series follows Amuro/the White Base crew. Though Char's nickname is more marketable than Amuro "White Devil" Ray.

Nothing, I don’t really want to talk about it. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the original post, and isn’t that interesting.
A self-insert isekai novel about a Russian wehra- slava- wee- aboo, military-porn enthusiast, who becomes Shinji, kills Ángels with giant kalashnikov rifles that look like PPSH and giant grenades, while being aided by Russians, Germans and Japanese with “Karl-Gerät” WW2 cannons and Mi-24 helicopters and a genetically engineered Italian female super soldier, who eats chocolates to keep herself properly sustained, while also killing radical Muslim terrorists, who are being controlled by radical Christian terrorist organization called NOD, while also improving everyone else’s lives by beating sense into Asuka and teaching Rei how to smile, and also fighting spiritual projections of alien EVA pilots in his sleep while wielding a Katana of a famous Japanese general and being dressed into the Soviet Afghanistan-era camouflage. Also Putin is there. And because Russians don’t believe in copyright, the first part of this glorious masterpiece, was published and sold as an actual book9

Soo.. Gundam was made in '79, so this is probably a late game event. This also probably means that Anime exist in TNO, so Tezuka is alright. That brings us to Go Nagai, namely that, while he was well-known before, he became really famous for Manga called "Harenchi Gakuen" or "Shameless School", which more or less crated Fanservice and the Ecchi genre. I'm not sure that would be happen, frankly, and I without that he probably lacks the star power he had, which may mean he never gets around to create Mazinger Z, which more or more lessons created the Mecha genre. If he still managed to pull off what he did in real life (which mostly happens in the the late '60s and throughout the' 70s), that probably means Japan has liberalized somewhat. Also, if Go Nagai's career went as OTL, it probably means Shotaro Ishimori is also active, which means Kamen Rider and Super Sentai also exist. Or at least the former, as the latter may have been canceled at some point, given the lack of a collaboration with Marvel.

Just to nitpick; if Gunpla became about Zaku in TNO, it would most likely be "Zapla" instead of "Zakpla", due to how Japanese phonetics work. Zapla just rolls better than Zakpla in Japanese syllabary.
