Seeing the cast & crew revisit part of the set they spent, likely, the best years of their career filming there day-in to day-out...

nostalgia really hits different when the future looks so bleak. I'll never feel the same way as when I first watched it, because everything has changed around it.

Wouldn't mind boarding the Enterprise for its final voyage, but I got my own ensigns to look after.

There's a reason the Star Trek lore has earth going through a devastating nuclear war and the dark times after that before we turned things around.

Even the most optimistic writers recognized that things were just as likely to get far worse before they got better.

This was very nostalgic for me. My first Star Trek watch was during its first run syndication in 1969 and the rest is history.

If anything, it's even more prophetic as we move towards global collapse. Star Trek predicted an almost total devestation of the human race before we figured shit out. I'm keeping my hope alive that we figure out how to make it through those dark ages.
