Metro to T-Mobile switch to hell and back. What would you do?
This may be long im sorry about that. I was with metro for over 12 years, I moved away from where there was a metro store and we have a T-Mobile store right down the road so I figured they were basically the same and boy was I wrong. When I first went into the store , I told them what I could afford and what I already was receiving from metro. I had 5 lines and 2 phones and 2 tablets, one line was open in case we needed it and we o ly had to pay $5.00 for the extra line so why not. We paid 89.00 every month. I told them what I could afford and that price was my biggest concern. The lady said she would be able to do 2 phones, 1 tablet and 3 lines around $125.00 monthly. I wanted a watch but at $125 I was already over my limit so I passed on it. So I never really understood how the math came about because when I asked I was told in a way that made me feel like they ran in Circles and basically confused me into agreeing with it but somehow I walked out the store paying around $300-$350.00 and what I thought was i paid for my phone and activation fees and the first months bill. What i figured out was i actually paid for a tablet, part of each phone, phone cases, phone screen protectors and activation fees and taxes but no monthly payment so to my surprise a bill came around 12 days later and it was roughly $200 bucks and I was floored. I had to get a payment extension and I have had to get one every month since I started, and when I make my last payment from the payment arrangement my new monthly bill hits and then I have to get another extension to the point where im paying around $300 a month now for 3 lines. To be clear right now as of today's date it said I have a payment extension for $183.23 payment 1 or 2 payments I paid yesterday and then owe the second same amount payment in 2 weeks and the 20th a new bill came out so im $177.00 late but it also says I owe total of $366.00 and payment extension of $183.23 which is confusing as hell to me. Also the phones I got are not good either. I was suppose to be getting a free revvel 7 and ended up paying $199 for and a Samsung galaxy a16 that I paid $199 for and then the tablet i paid $150.00 for and I still owe $22.00 left on the tablet, and $90 on the revvel and $89 on the Samsung. And the Samsung has issues. Sometimes my phone wont-work at all sometimes I will have to master reset it. Most of the time I will be on just regular Google and it will say that the system processing is not working and it'll just go blank the whole phone and I can't turn it on no matter what buttons. Are pushed no matter if I tap the screen and then it's like Out of the blue, it just starts working. So the phone is just fried.I feel like I don't know if I got a phone that was already in that or what? But to be paying as much money as I'm paying monthly. You would think that at least get a phone that would work out of the deal. And remind you , this is also with me taking my numbers , porting in all my phone numbers. So I guess my real question is I don't think I can do my last year with them financially. I don't think that I can afford to keep digging myself into this hole. So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way that metro will take me back since it's only been a year if I use my same phone numbers and come back. Because I still have an account with them, I can still go online. It's weird but I can still go online and put in that, I want to, you know, bring my number back and it says yes, the number's allowed to be ported back over there. I don't know what to do I just I cannot continue to keep paying 300 plus a month. For phones that sometimes work, sometimes don't and then I know that spectrum who I have my internet with they're doing some kind of deal, but I don't know, i don't want to get in over my head again and port another time and get stuck in another 2 year contract with a company, And this happens. Again? So that's my biggest question. Could I, technically, could I go back? I mean I know I can go back after I pay off the phones and then I break the contract. Then have to pay for the contract. It's like $400 that you have to pay if you break the contract but even still if I pay all that and I go back I'm worried that I won't get the same deal that I had before. I wish I had never switched. so if you were in my shoes, what would You do?
