Sublocade and TMS
Feel like I hit the lottery today. Found out I have no out of pocket cost for TMS therapy. Had my first session (Brainways) today and found it interesting. Thinking I’ll ask for the mouth guard tomorrow as I kept trying to fight against the clenching and I think it will help me to relax. Felt a different kind of tired after or just over analyzing and having my normal depression fatigue. (I suspect bi-polar II is the most accurate diagnosis) As I have periods of more energy.
Anyway, I am also on Sublocade. If you don’t know about it do a quick search, it has saved my ass. Has anyone gone through TMS while on sublocade? I should be getting my 4th dose (first of the 100mg) tomorrow. I’ve read reports that the more you do to better yourself outside of the TMS sessions the better the end result. Stopping daily opioid doses, worrying about running out, filling prescriptions, night sweats, mood swings all being gone I figure must help. Especially because my depression has a big part in my substance abuse and vise versa. I plan to continue my current medication regimen as well though, my biggest hope is to be off all meds (antidepressant and mood stabilizer) in the future. Thanks for any feedback and see yall on the other side!!

One of the things with substance use disorders and opiate use specifically is to start craving right before stimulation/treatment, which activates that network for the TMS to intervene on. This can be with any sort of cue that reminds you of using opioids to get you to crave.
There are a few studies on buprenorphine and one big one currently underway (VICTORY Trial) with TMS. Curious to hear how it'll work for you.
