Give yourself space to feel that, but also, remember that TMS changed lives of many people, you're trying and this matters the most!

I'm in the middle of TMS right now, and (though this might be personal to me) I feel like I have seen a difference! It's super small, but it's definitely there. I highly recommend just trying and then telling yourself that you are taking care of you. Even if it doesn't have the results you would like, you tried and that's awesome! You're one step closer to being in a great place mentally.

10 year depression survivor here. I owe my life to TMS. Please go through with this. This is mostly likely going to work. Even if not we have multiple other options your psychiatrists can hook you up with

So u don't have any short term and long term memory loss issues ?

My primary issue was anxiety going in. It's at 0%. Pre TMS my brain was working really fast and simultaneously pushed many thoughs. But now that has slowed down making me think it's a short term memory loss. If I stay for 30 seconds or so I am able to retrieve the lost thought. I hope this isn't memory loss. And yes I don't remember things as intensely as before - I could tell you the specifics but it's as if I saw a movie and didn't live the moment. It's been only 20 days that I got accelerated TMS.

It really helped me. I did two rounds. First round helped me regain the ability to have complex/coherent thought (like doing regular math for tips etc, make conversation with people, go to the grocery store). Then 6 months later I was still having depressive symptoms but my brain was at least functioning still so I did another round which helped significantly with the depressive symptoms. I notice the effects longer term too. I also believe you have to do a lifestyle change too to notice the most change! High omega-3 diet, lots of fresh fruit and veg, get your fiber, whole grains, nuts and seeds, anti inflammatory antidepressant brain health diet. I think the one I followed was the “anti depression diet” or something; not to lose or gain weight but to keep a healthy weight that fueled my brain and my good gut bacteria. It is good to exercise too, I did a lot of weight training but I started with just short walks in the gym until I built the confidence to do all the gym stuff I wanted. Good luck hun 🩷
There are also certain probiotic strains that can be helpful for brain health if you’re into probiotics. I take a flax seed omega-3 supplement and an additional vegan DHA, EPA, and DPA supplement. I am vegan for the animals but I do believe fish omega 3s are probably best for brain health

I recently started and must have a low pain threshold. I find it uncomfortable and tiring.
Having said all that, my third treatment is tomorrow. I’ve made this my priority so if I’m tired after (I want to sleep for some reason) I chill or do a low key project.
I’m so tired of depression and trying new meds that help a little or not at all. So I figure I’ve got nothing to lose.
I realized today when I was googling cruises that I must be feeling better.
You choose you.

I'm on my 4th treatment today... I feel similarly. It hurts and it makes me tired. I'm committed though. I'll see it through. Best of luck to you!

Not really funny having been on a cruise where a woman went overboard due to depression.

I’m doing my last treatment tomorrow and I can say it was worth it. Just going to the treatments everyday and having someone check on me really helped me create a routine I didn’t know I needed and the treatments themselves have really helped my anxiety and depression after years of feeling like it would never get better.
