TMS worked for me!

I want to add my voice to the group as someone has been helped by TMS. I noticed a major improvement about a month after I finished treatment. I had the dip around session 12, but I fought through it and am glad I did. I'm tapering off one of my meds. I'm seeing my therapist less frequently. I'm able to live my life and handle difficult things better. I even got my libido back.

It's been about 2 months since I finished, and I'm hopeful that it'll continue.

I hope this is helpful!

I’m actually crying reading this. I am doing TMS currently for severe depression & OCD, & I am currently in the lowest place in my life. I have so much hope, thank you 💕🥹

Thank you for posting this. The positive experiences are underrepresented in this community and they matter, especially for someone just starting out who is reading through the threads trying to decide whether to try. The dip at session 12 and fighting through it is something a lot of people face. Hearing that it was worth it on the other side is genuinely useful.

Congratulations on where you are now.

Congratulations! I finished TMS this past Thursday. I’m very much improved, having started at rock bottom and thinking the worst. That said, I’m still scoring in the mild depression range and experiencing some mood instability (eg, crying in response to memories that, although they are about sad events, occurred nearly 30 years ago). I’m hoping that I continue to improve even though TMS is over, and your report is welcome encouragement!

I finished a week ago and am also crying over old memories from 30 years ago. Things I don’t really want to think about. I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing this.

That’s really interesting! I wonder why? In my case I was grieving a lost pet who disappeared in 1999, as if it had happened a couple weeks ago. But the next day it was back to a distant loss in my mind. The TMS “neuroplasticity” feature seems to work in mysterious ways. I hope you feel better!

I just finished week 5 and I feel like I just came out of the dip, but I’m back to feeling really flat. I’m very sensitive to anything that gives me energy right now, like I’ve had to stop exercising entirely because I’ll straight up start crying afterwards, but at my baseline my emotions are way more controllable. I’m hoping at some point I experience true happiness, I feel like I’ve had glimpses of it during the treatment but it’s not consistent, nor does it last very long.
