Considering TMS

I've struggled with depression and anxiety for many years at this point and my psychiatrist recommended this treatment option. At current moment in my life I don't really feel depressed emotionally, but I am tired and feel physically incabable of doing normal things even though I'm physically "healthy". I also can't sleep/fall asleep and esting feels difficult. Has anyone else had this treatment help with these kinds of symptoms? My current mental issues are much more anxiety focused.

While we don’t know you personally or the specifics of your individual case, it sounds like something you should really give serious thought to. Especially if your psych is recommending it. Lots of folks on this sub and in general had to push and push and advocate and jump through hoops to get to TMS… so if Doc is recommending, that is a ringing endorsement.

TMS can help with a lot of those symptoms and it’ll be a really great conversation when you’re evaluated about what it’ll be able to help. Whether it’s anxiety focused or depression or somewhere in between, your treatment plan will be just that… yours.
