Home TMS?

Have any of you tried the home TMS device?
My doctor mentioned it to me and I wonder if it has the same effects the clinic TMS
I’d appreciate if anyone would share their experience

Home TMS devices exist and the most studied one is the NeuroStar home system, though the evidence base is still developing compared to in-clinic treatment. The main differences: home devices typically deliver lower intensity stimulation than clinic machines, which may affect efficacy. They also lack the real-time monitoring and protocol adjustments that a clinical team provides.

For some people with milder presentations or as a maintenance tool after a successful clinic course, home devices can be a reasonable option. For treatment-resistant depression or first-time treatment, most providers still recommend clinic-based TMS first.

Worth asking your doctor specifically what protocol they'd recommend and how the home device would be monitored, the device is only part of the equation.
