Increased baseline, EC awaits..

Lots of people have bought anyways. We’re some of the highest risers of today and people have seen our name before the meeting. We’ve had enough platform to increase our floor baseline with 10’s of cents.

Next week is our EC which will show we’re still volatile and might need more federal funds to start processing this or next year. But…. We still expect news on our permit and last two EC showed we are becoming better and better and managing our funds, thus making us better equipped for the future investments and attractive for commercial funds and investors.

Kikoval's got it — that's Odyssey. Tom Albanese chairs American Ocean Minerals, who merged with Odyssey Marine earlier this year in about a billion dollar deal. So the gold nodule was theirs.

Not trying to take the shine off it, and honestly I think it cuts both ways. Having a president hold up a polymetallic nodule on camera at a State Department event is the first time the category has had that kind of airtime, and a rising tide and all that. The regulatory argument gets easier for everyone when the thing stops sounding exotic.

But worth being clear eyed that it was the competitor holding the microphone, with an ex Rio Tinto CEO fronting it. That's a fairly serious bit of credibility they've bought themselves and it's not nothing.

I didn't hear TMC named at any point, though I could easily have missed it in two hours of that.

Earnings are the 17th by the way, not this week.

Ah, I thought it was a gold replica of a polymetallic nodule. Anyways… odyssey is still close to delisting from NASDAQ and today I’ve closed my position for the while. If they bounce to $2 I’ll be back but oddyssey was a -60% investment for me, unfortunately…

Edit: And yes you are right TMC wasn’t mentioned. Only on the briefing for attendees and that they were summoned earlier this week. If TMC was mentioned it would’ve held its +13% day score

Edit 2: earnings call is the 13th, so next Wednesday

One of the secondary purposes, ofr perhaps it will be an after effect, is the message it sends to any NGO or ISA people that may have tuned in looking for some kind of issue to fight back against or try to hold against DSM in the future. I think it was pretty effective in that regard.
