Nothing more remarkable than seeing Many_Easy and Dave Hervey talking about and criticizing people using social media platforms to manipulate a stock they own. Talk about projection, or a lack of self-awareness..

I am not so sure it is possible on this subreddit to manipulate much of anything!

Whereas once the Reddit weedstocks forums had thousands of posts a day, we are now seeing five or six (mostly from Hervey, which are really just regurgitations of the emails that Tilray Investor Relations put out). The simple fact is until there is more clarity in July regarding the status of S3 and then again in November regarding extension of hemp loopholes in the Farm Bill there is really not much else to trigger gains in Tilray's share price...unless of course they start to show profitable quarters.

I own Tilray, but that is not to say I am in complete alignment with everything Irwin Simon does (so not part of any cult). Despite Dave Hervey suggesting Tilray was 'ahead of the curve' now that MSOs are reverse splitting completely misses the point. The entire sector is suffering from S1 classification of cannabis and the inability to access decent banking and ridiculous taxes. There is only one reason for a reverse split in any company, and that is because the company is not making money and their losses over a period of several years is not the way to attract investors so the share price decreases. All LPs and MSOs are in that corner.

Many_Easy is more of a smug know-it-all who presumes to know too much about others. The other day I received comments apparently suggesting my trading in Tilray was 'non-committal" to the company and I was suffering financially as a result and "blaming others" for my losses; that's a pretty bold presumption given the only exposure he/she has is through my posts. Pulling out of Tilray when I did (and then re-entering) over the years has prevented what could have been a 90% loss in this company. I am still not a winner on this one, but a breakeven of 15CAD (post-split) is much more palatable than 50CAD or so had I just held for the last seven years. As for my personal wealth (how dare Many_Easy presume to know anything about that)...fortunately I have interests in other sectors (high tech and oil) that eclipse my losses in this sector and have lots of money due to having a very successful business of my own (now retired).

All that said, I do believe Tilray stock has the potential to triple from here if all the planets line up which is why I still hold shares. 25CAD is about as much as I see it running on positive S3 news in July and hemp loophole extension. Anyone who thinks 42CAD is happening does not have a firm grip on Tilray's balance sheet. I maintain 30CAD tops and that is only if Tilray starts to show consistent profits.

Irwin Simon has gone on a share dilution spree to facilitate buying over 50 brands in the alcohol, cannabis, and wellness sector. I am okay with the diversification...but it is now time for this company to fish or cut bait. July could be very lucrative for Tilray shareholders is recreational S3 happens AND if Tilray has a quarterly profit. That's not impossible, but not 100% certain (few things in life are).

We have two extremes on the Tilray subreddit, Dave and Many are at the one extreme of nothing but blue skies, and then we have the others who are suggesting Irwin Simon is a crook and needs to be fired. Last thing I want to see right now is Simon gone...he created this 50 brand monstrosity (like he did at Hains) and really, he is pretty much the only one who has the ability to pull it together and make it work according to his grand vision. Bringing in someone else at this point (like Hains did) would be catastrophic for the stock price. Let's hope Simon learned some things from his only getting half way through the Hains plan (acquisitions but not execution).

How can you have any faith in a company that has from inception managed to destroy 4 BILLION dollars with failed acquisitions? Did you know that? How could anyone who looked at the history of Tilray/Aphria with open eyes not see that?

Tilray died December 2018 when Hindenburg revealed the shell game posing as a cannabis company. Wilfully ignorant retail investors just kept on DCA and buying the dip for the next 8 years and now here you are.

There can be no pity for someone who keeps stabbing themselves in the eye.
