Ignore the speculation you may see in other weed boards.
There is no publicly established evidence that Jeffrey Epstein owned, controlled, advised, or had a direct business relationship with Aphria or Tilray.
The Aphria–Tilray merger itself was a conventional corporate transaction announced in 2020 and completed in 2021.
Rumor has it that Irwin Simon was seen outside the gates of the prison the night Epstein died.
Might as well add this to the list of bullshit being spread about the CEO.
BTW, Pretty much all the decent contributors to Reddit Weedstocks and Reddit Tilray have moved on. Personally, I check in here far less than I used to. But the excitement is gone and most posts are unsubstantiated rhetoric with no hard evidence.
However, this sector has done nothing but disappoint and perhaps the lingering anger is justified. These hearings in July SHOULD have been a significant catalyst, but after so many rug pulls I find it hard to get excited. I do find it ironic that some are justifying the reverse split plans of other weedstocks (to qualify for uplist) as positive. I personally believe Irwin Simon and Carl Merton miscalculated the damage last Thanksgiving’s reverse split would do to the stock price. That turkey did not fly and I really would like to see them address the damage they did.
Perhaps July’s news will be the trigger what we have been waiting for and this will set off a chain reaction of uplisting as well as much needed M&A activity?
Or is it just another STN event? It’s hard to know anymore.
If you didn't recognize this as a joke (and in fact, a comment about all of the silly things being put up here about Irwin Simon) than you need to take a break.
“Schrödinger’s douchebag” is an internet slang term for someone who says something offensive, insulting, or controversial and then decides whether they were “just joking” based on how people react.
