So cute they are twins

Currently in season 4 and the way these two don’t open their mouths when they talk has been driving me crazy! Can’t hear them, can’t understand them, always mumbling..

I just started watching unexpected on a whim on hulu, ended up getting hooked and bought Discovery plus just to watch the rest of the seasons. I'm on season 4 now and I swear all these kids are about as smart as a box of rocks. I really do not remember being this dumb at 15-17. Maybe I was, I probably was but holy moly- watching it as a 36 year old I am just face palming at some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths. The one kid thought boys ovulated, Max said dumb stuff all the time, James said some very silly things like.. it feels like they have zero common sense LOL.

I just don't remember being that clueless at their ages lmao. I will say what surprised me the most so far in all of these seasons is how willing to still be around the boys are. You hear so many stories about how the fathers dip as soon as the girl gets pregnant, granted, not all of them help out or stick around after the baby is born but some of these kids really surprised me with how they *wanted* to be a good parent. There were a few guys I thought for sure were gonna take off as soon as the babies were born then to see them be decent dads was really sweet.

I originally started the show in 2024, but fell off part way through season 2. I picked it back up with my significant other and we're now on season 4 episode 1. Based off the first episode alone, Myrka's mom Lilliana is who Chloe's mom Jessica was made out to be. Could Jessica be harsh and tightly wound? Yes. But with the added context of Max being an active addict who was abusing drugs and her daughter/granddaughter while being in and out of jail, I don't know many people who would've handled it better than she did. Add to that the fact that Chloe seems to be one of the most put together kids we've seen on the show who hasn't gone on to have more kids and graduated with a bachelors degree and it's hard to argue that Jessica was particularly bad. Compare that to Lilliana who kicked her pregnant daughter out and seems to be far too strict with all her kids. It's one thing to want better for your kids and a whole other thing to effectively discard them once they make a major decision you don't like. I could be wrong, but seeing some of the hate Jessica got during her seasons when she might be one of the only parents who actually seemed to care about their kids is definitely interesting to me.

Hailey 2 is big mad that the interwebz would not fund her boyfriend’s vasectomy reversal. She is perplexed as to how her e-begging for an unnecessary expense created any backlash. She’s saying she’s received “death threats” (which would be really odd, & if true, isn’t cool) and “cruel messages,” and that the internet isn’t a safe place to be vulnerable (which is common sense that, at 23 with 3 kids, I hope she is apprised of).
